Caro Hotel was an absolute treat and made me fall in love with Valencia even more. We were greeted by exceptional reception staff, with a charming and personal introduction to the city with a detailed map and a refreshing cup of iced coffee. This was a lovely touch and you could definitely feel how much he loved his city. The rooms were tastefully designed with a perfect balance of dark minimalism and historic exposure. The attention to detail of leaving sweet treats after cleaning up the room, endless refillable water and free coffee and a huge selection to teas made our stay comfortable and homey. As much as I’d like to keep this a sweet little secret for ourselves, Caro definitely deserves all the best attention. We can’t wait to return and stay at Caro again!

Just an amazing experience and impeccable service. The hotel is fascinating; they did an amazing job designing it while incorporating historical pieces dating from the 13th century!! The service is beyond words, they offered us free drinks at the bar, free coffee and tea service every morning, free mini bar snacks within the room, valet parking, etc. The one thing to note is most of the rooms have an open bathroom layout with the shower pretty much see through so this is not the best place to go with your family! However, the service were super accommodating and gave us another room with a private bathroom. Regardless, just an amazing and unique hotel and I won’t be staying anywhere else next time I go to Valencia!

I can’t say enough about this hotel. Truly impeccable service. We stayed here during the famous Fallas Festival, Alejandro sat us down upon arrival, poured us a glass of cava and gave us a map and a rundown of what to see and do for the festivities, where to eat and he even made a haircut appointment for my husband for the following day. The front desk was able to obtain last minute dinner reservations for us during the busiest weekend of the year! The staff was incredibly quick and responsive to every request from coffee in the morning to recommendations. A Beautiful boutique hotel and room in a quiet corner of the old town. Breakfast was a treat. 5 stars well deserved.

A beautiful building in an ideal location. You are a few steps away from the old town of Valencia but it is so quiet you cold be in the countryside.||All the big pluses:|Friendly, helpful and attentive staff.|Chic, trendy reception/ bar area, with touches of antiquity!|Spacious, elegant rooms and a very comfortable bed. Room was a bit dark.|An actual top sheet!! Most hotels have forgotten they exist. And a lighter doona (duvet) that doesn’t necessitate you turn the aircon to arctic temperatures. ✔️|A bottle of fizz and some delicious morsels on arrival.|A mini bar (sans alcohol) that is refreshed daily.|Showers that are straightforward to operate, yes! Lights too.✔️|Lovely large fluffy towels and bathrobes. And a real bath, which I know some people love.||Some small negatives |Could we have some conditioner in the shower?|A waste paper basket in the room would be very helpful.|Good quality toilet paper please, not the same as you’d find in public conveniences. You’d soon recover the cost in the amount being used!|I know all the kind staff will bring to your room any beverage you desire , at the press of a telephone button, but actually first thing of a morning, I want to make my own. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, please.||Overall, a great place to stay. Highly recommended.||However, DO NOT use the transfer services which the hotel will recommend to you via an email before you arrive, particularly if you are arriving by train. I was left stranded at the station because my train was late. And, even worse, I was not given a refund.. The taxi I got instead was less than half the price. You...

SERVICE: We stayed here for a week and couldn't have had a better time! The staff were fantastic - attentive, friendly and always on hand to help, they really made it a special experience. I celebrated my birthday during my stay and they were kind enough to leave a card, a dessert treat and a small bottle of champagne. Lastly, I love that the hotel is small as well which makes it a more personalised experience.

FOOD: We had breakfast every morning and it was always great, after a while the waitress started to remember our orders! There's a small and standard buffet but you can order extras such as porridge, eggs, sausages etc.

LOCATION: I was hesitant to book this hotel because it seemed secluded and I was worried it would be hard to get to places. I was wrong! It's so easy to walk anywhere and you're stones throw away from the centre with lots of restaurants etc but the benefit is it's on a quiet road so there's no noise - perfect balance!

ROOMS: The bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept on and I liked the fact the showers are separate from the bath itself. Everything was fine with the room but be aware there aren't any kettles in them so if you love tea before bed like me then you've got to ask for a kettle which they readily give to you. The same goes for an iron. The only small thing is that I would have loved just one or two more lights in the room so we could see around the bed area at night better.

In summary, I will definitely stay at Caro Hotel again. If you're staying in Valencia I highly highly recommend...

We absolutely adored our stay at Caro Hotel. We were promptly greeted by the staff and offered water and/or coffee. We were given a map and a quick tour of the old city to gain our bearings. Check-in was easy and simple, and our room was ready 2 hours before official check-in time.

Our room itself was amazing. We stayed in room #15, the Arab Tower, which had the bed in the loft area. Something to consider if you do not want to navigate a flight of stairs in the middle of the night to gain access to the toilet.

No amenities were spared in the room. The free mini-bar included an assortment of drinks and snacks that were refreshed daily. And the bath products were plentiful, including a cute, little wooden hair brush.

The staff was always willing to help with directions or advice. They recommended a local restaurant and made reservations for us as well (and it ended up being my husband’s favorite meal of our whole trip). They were always willing to refill our water bottles with cold water or make us an espresso or cappuccino.

As with any hotels in any city, noise can be problematic. We did not experience this with our particular room, but one side of our room did abut a school, which I image could be loud during the week or school hours. As always, we travel with a sound machine to drown out street noise.

Loved the location of the hotel in the Old City and our experience here. I would definitely recommend this to anyone considering staying...
