Fort Thari Inn — Hotel in Galle

Worst experience ever. We a bunch of girls came to stay in this place for a night stay. Unfortunately the one who called owner is very rude and mannerless. We were not provided any towels. When we ask about that he said said that they are not providing towels. As educated ones we know how to behave without disturbing to others. But this man rudely said to not to disturb other people. We stayed out of the place most of the time because we went to sightseeing and only came back to get some sleep and rest. And there is no privacy at all. The man sleeps near the rooms on a sofa and he started scolding us because of going between rooms to see our friends. And the day of checkout he threatened us to throw away our bags if we are late to come back. And he waited us more than 2 hours on the check in day. I don't recommend this place to tourists as well as locals. Not worth at all and really unpleasant situation. If you wanna spend your holidays more calm or relaxing manner don't ever go to this place. It destroyed our day. No privacy at all.

Obviously, it was a bad experience. I and my friends selected this place to add more memories to our trip. but the owner of the hotel was extremely rude and unhelpful. He made us feel unwelcome throughout our stay. Inside rooms, there are no dustbins. Bedsheets are not clean. so many issues. The worst experience was that he slept in between the rooms on a sofa. So when we were moving from our room to a friend's room, he rudely said, Go and sleep. No respect. So after that, the next morning, before the checkout, we went for a walk. At that time, he said that if we did not come on time, he would go inside the room and put our bags outside of the room. I don't know why he behaved like that. As travellers, we know that we should come on time before checkout. There is no need to mention. I'll never recommend this place to anyone. because he doesn't know how to treat visitors in a friendly manner. I am really disappointed. Recently I went here with my friends for one night stay. The owner was so rude and he considered us like weak girls as it was only a girl group. Our check-in time was supposed to be 12pm but he asked us to be there at 12.30 and we had to roam in the streets while waiting for him to finish cleaning the room that was supposed to be done before 12pm. And there was no any dustbin in the room to dispose the garbage. And at night he slept in a sofa between the two rooms that we took which made us uncomfortable. He totally interrupted our freedom and he advised us about our sleeping time which was very inappropriate of him. And in the next day morning he threatened us to checkout before 11. If we were one minute late , he threatened us saying that he’ll barge in to our rooms and will throw our bags out. And it totally ruined our reputation. He wasn’t friendly at all.
