Landhaus — Hotel in Bern

I absolutely recommend Albert & Frida!

The hotel is beautifully situated near the river Aare just adjacent to the town center and thus within walking distance from all you may want to view while in Bern.

The staff is amazingly friendly and the rooms are clean, cozy and have a unique ambience to them. You can tell that the people love what they are doing.

Moreover, they really attune to your needs - even if they are special ones. For technical reasons, I accidentally booked my stay for an incorrect date. Even though it was my mistake and they could easily have just shrugged their shoulders, they not only waived one of the payments - they waived the more expensive one!! So I ended up spending less for a more luxurious room... A totally unexpected and exceptional courtesy!!

Best kept secret in all of Berne!

I've been coming here for about 6 years and just completely fell in love with the place. If you're looking for a heartwarming, beautifully decorated place to come and sit and read your paper or book with a great lunch or before jumping into the river for a summer's dip: here it is.

The owners and their team are like a family and work really hard as the house is their hotel too. I'd recommend this place to everyone who would like to have a bernese experience, from fantastic apéros with local treasures to romantic lights when it gets dark.

The room was comfortable and set up just as we needed.

The breakfast was outstanding. They easily accommodated food sensitivities with surprising selection.

Decor is fun, eclectic, and comfortable.

To top it off was the amazing staff. From the person who checked us in and informed us how to float down the river to the person who made cafe au lait in the morning, everyone was friendly, helpful, and greeted with a genuine smile. It felt...
