Avoid at all cost. I've stayed at more than 20 hostels around Asia, even in the strictest of societies like Japan, but this place has no vibes and no discretion.
They plaster reminders all over (even the wifi password) that you'll be charged if you overstay by 10 minutes past 11am. Thats alright, atleast they're being clear on their expectations and 11am isn't unreasonable.
What left a sour taste was knowing that they charge you for leaving your bags past 6pm on the day you check-out. I came back at 5.30pm to find my bag being listed as an illegal article and was forced to pay.
Even after paying, the young female attendant (owners please advise her) was dead serious in chasing me out, stating that the empty lobby area is for checked-in guests only. This confused me, because the place was marketed as a cafe-hostel type of place and the lift doors had reminders that public and checked-out guests are not supposed to go up to the rooms. Each bed has a locker BUT it's located under the bed and has a key given by the staff (I do prefere the padlock system even if I have to bring my own). Not very pratical when you have jackets and such.
Which brings me to the fact that one of my jackets was stolen during my stay. While I know hostels don't guarantee a 100% safe environment, it was quite unexpected since it was not an expensive jacket at all.
In short : vertical lockers with padlock system would have...

Then there are all sorts of rules like if you check out at 11:10 you will be fined. Any sign of dirty sheet and you will be fined. This is not what hostels are about. Zero community and all about money making and saving on their staff costs. No human...
