Excellent restaurant and this review is to share how it works and hopefully give you the confidence to try it. It can feel a bit intimidating if you are not familiar with the concept.
We booked a table in advance, which is easy to do. However, it's big and there were a few free tables so walk-in could be possible . You select which pricing option you want and everyone on the table has to choose the same option. The price is per person. Half price for under 12s.
You select which broth you want. One per person. You can each select different options.
You are then given a barcode for the table and use your phone to order the meat or fish to cook in your broth. The price option you choose dictates which options you can order and the barcode only allows you to order the options within the price point you selected (and all the cheaper options).
There is an extensive buffet to select your own veggies and other extras. Clear labelling in English. They were all excellent quality.
You can order up to 5 non buffet dishes at a time and sometimes they are delivered by a cute robot!! You can make additional orders as you wish.
I don't eat meat and even though the restaurant is based around quality meats, I had the best vegetarian meal of our trip here. There's so many vegetarian options in the self service buffet you can easily make an excellent meal (without the suprise pork you get in other restaurants). I don't know if the broth is vegetarian or not.
Extensive machine soft drinks included in the price. No alcohol served but you can bring your own.
Ice cream was so so, don't need to leave too much space for that.
At the end the bill was exactly as expected. With a cleaning fee/service...
Read moreI recently dined at Shabu Le Wagyu Hotpot and opted for their 799 set menu, and I must say, the quality of the meat was exceptional. The melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich flavor made every bite worth the price. Even if you go for the cheaper options, I believe you won’t be disappointed—they still offer great value for money.
The sushi selection, though limited to just two choices, really stood out. The Wagyu sushi topped with truffle was an absolute showstopper, offering a luxurious flavor combination that was nothing short of divine.
When it comes to drinks, the offerings were pretty standard—coffee, soda, tea, and the like. Nothing extraordinary here, though I was pleasantly surprised to find a Hershey's smoothie on the menu, which added a unique twist to the usual drink selection.
As for the sauces, they had a decent variety, covering most bases. However, I was a bit disappointed not to find my favorite spicy sauce in the lineup. It was a minor letdown, but nothing that spoiled the experience.
The soup I tried was the milk cheese base, which was thick and creamy—just the way I like it. That said, it might be too rich for some, so consider your preferences before ordering.
Dessert was a mixed bag. The Niseko gelatos were decent, but I wasn’t too impressed with their other options. Adding various additives to the ice cream didn’t quite hit the mark for me, and the soft serve felt more like eating ice than indulging in creamy goodness.
Overall, Shabu Le Wagyu Hotpot is definitely worth the price. My only real gripe was the payment method—they don’t accept cards or mobile payments, only cash. So, make sure you bring...

Wagyu Beef included are SRF Wagyu & AU Wagyu Beef. Mala Wagyu Hot Pot with noodles is definitely one of the greatest food in the world. The smooth texture of the noodles, succulent and superb taste of Wagyu, and the spicy flavour really went so much better than your imagination.
Lobster and Fish Roe Flame-seared with Wagyu Sushi (a la carte $120): It has a similar taste to Mentaiko sushi but I liked this one more.
Grilled Wagyu Nigiri Sushi with Black Truffle (a la carte $120): It’s relatively saucy, juicy, and of outstanding flavour and texture.
Furthermore, there are also all-you-can-eat various hot pot ingredients, rice, soup, condiments, drink bar, ice cream, and soft serve DIY bar.
In conclusion, it’s a perfect place to have an authentic Japanese surf and turf meal with Wagyu and Sushi at once. The prices are cheaper than the last Wagyu hot pot I had a month ago. The location is also quite convenient that it is only a few meters away from the MRT station exit 6. However, if you come here by yourself, you will need to pay an additional $100+10%. Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10.
FYI, you scan the QR code to place order, maximum dining time is 90 minutes, and there’ll be 10% service charge...
