Hù House, Taipei — Hotel in Taipei

1.5 out of 5 because they let us store our luggage after our checkout since our flight was in the late afternoon. Generally, the stay was alright for the first two days until the second night came. That was when the first baby cockroach made its presence known. After getting rid of it and taking it as a one-off incident, we continued staying in the room since we only had 1 more night left. Then on our last night... we opened the drawer to find an infestation of tiny bugs with a glossy black exterior... We immediately closed it and moved all of our stuff away from the cabinet with the TV on top. As it was our last night, we thought it pointless to switch rooms since the bugs were isolated to the cabinet. Then, as we were tucking in for the night, we saw the second baby cockroach of the stay running across the carpeted floor. After we killed that one, we saw another tiny one running around the bathtub in the toilet... Honestly, we were exhausted so we just turned in for the night. The moment day broke, we packed up only to have another baby cockroach run across the carpeted floor. We quickened our pace and checked out early to highlight to the reception about the infestation issues, with pictures and videos by the way... The first staff had a nonchalant response to it simply nodding with "Ohs". He even added that the infestation is due to the hotel doing pest control and so they would be coming out of the sewage. But mind you, the infestation was in the drawer of the cabinet where the TV was, so it was clearly not in the toilet. The second staff had a slightly better attitude saying that they would look into it and resolve it. They both did not look surprised by the bugs issue though, so maybe it speaks a lot about the condition of...

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The level of professionalism and friendliness exhibited by each member of your team was truly remarkable. It was evident that your staff takes immense pride in their work and strives to create a memorable experience for every guest.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the front desk staff for their efficiency in handling my check-in and check-out procedures. Their attentiveness to my requirements and willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate my needs made me feel valued as a guest.

My friends and I recently stayed at Hú House, Taipei, and had a wonderful experience. We booked two rooms — a Superior Double and a Deluxe Triple — which were conveniently adjacent to each other.

While the rooms do show some signs of age, they are incredibly cozy and well-maintained. The cleanliness was impressive, and the space smelled fresh throughout our stay. Towels and sheets were replaced promptly upon request, and they made sure to replenish our bottled water and minibar daily. For the price, the hotel offers a much larger space than many others in Taipei. The bathroom in the Deluxe Triple, in particular, was spacious and featured both a separate shower and a bathtub.

Breakfast at the hotel offered a good selection of dishes in their buffet, with a variety of both local and international options to choose from.

The front desk staff were also very kind and helpful, making our stay even more pleasant.

The hotel is conveniently located in Taipei but away from the bustling Ximending. Train and bus stations is just few mins walk and there’s a ton of food options in the area. Carrefour and Starbucks is also nearby.

I highly recommend staying at Hú House. The only improvement I would suggest is for them to clean the chairs and carpet more thoroughly, as they had some stains. Overall, it was a great stay and I would...
