Hsin Fang Chun Tea House, located on Minsheng West Road, is a 1934 building that was once one of Taipei’s largest tea factories. This mixed-use structure combines a tea house, factory, warehouse, and residence, showcasing a blend of Eastern and Western architectural styles. The site preserves original tea-making equipment such as drying machines and roasting pits, while antique chandeliers and a traditional courtyard design add historical charm. The second floor features a tea room and exhibition area, where visitors can enjoy tea, purchase products, and view old maps of Dadaocheng, offering a fascinating comparison of past and present. Free entry and guided tours provide an immersive way to explore Taiwan’s tea industry history. The fragrant tea, made with authentic methods, and the craftsmanship of the tea master make it a...

A museum of tea and tea trading in the early 1900s. What a magnificent building from the 1930s from a family that made it with tea. Arguably this family was one of the richest in Taiwan back in the days. The shear size of the building will attest to the wealth of the family. Regardless, over time, the family fell into despair and had to turn over this building to the city and is now a museum. It is rich in history and this museum displays the way tea was sourced, picked, dried and sold. Don't forget to visit the 2nd floor...

The building is greatly restored and became a very welcoming place in the heart of Dadaocheng. The first floor gives place to exhibitions and the second floor is a large store with products somehow related to teas. Their tea selection could be greater, and the corner for tea drinking also seems a bit awkward there, but I'm sure they will improve it step by step.
