It's not a hotel, it's a hostel. The service is minimal and the customer service is also minimal. It's not suitable for people who expect hotel service.
The location is about an 18-minute walk from the Airport Express Taipei Station. The road is flat and perfect for a walk. There are convenience stores, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby.
First, before checking in, you need to register for LINE, and check-in information will be sent to you on the day before check-in via LINE. You need to send a screenshot of Passport which is very worried. Anyways, just follow the instructions to check in yourself. The hotel entrance and the room door are password-locked, but both can be unlocked with the card key in the room. There is one staff member at the front desk, but he is more of a helper. To check out, take a photo of the card key in your room and send it via LINE.
We communicated via LINE in English, but as others have said, it was sometimes slow and sometimes not understood.
I stayed in an Elite Double room on the 2nd floor, but the unit bathroom had a toilet at the back and a shower without a partition in front, which was not very comfortable. Also, the shower did not seem to close completely, so the floor was always wet with dripping water.
Also, the road in front of the hotel has a lot of motorbike traffic and the rooms are poorly soundproofed, so it's noisy all day long and earplugs are a must.
The entrance is shared, there is a desk and a kitchen, and if you are staying for multiple nights, you can do your laundry for free by putting it in the laundry basket in your room and dropping it off at the front desk in the morning, and it will be returned to your room in the evening.
If you ask me if I would stay again, the...
Read moreThe place is very clean and nice.
However, they have very strict restriction on food and smoking. You can't eat at your room, and if you are smokers, even if you book the 4th floor with balcony, you also can't smoke there at the balcony but you have to go downstairs and smoke outside the building. We didn't see any notice about the food and smoking until we finished our payment.
So if you are a heavy smoker and intend to stay more than two days, not recommended.
You can't wash your clothes by yourself, but you can ask them to wash it for you and send it back to your room if you don't mind your clothes being very very wrinkled... (I guess they use the dryer to dry it after they wash it, and that's it. )
Also if you have a lot of luggages, be prepared to lift your bags because there is no elevator.
The reason I only give3 stars is because we really didn't have much privacy because the cleaner will come to the balcony quite often, didn't know what she was doing on our balcony, I guess cleaning???(Do you really need to clean that balcony like twice a day??)
We really love the cleanness of the place but we do appreciate a little more privacy and...
Read moreBooked 2 rooms for the company trip. MRT is within walking distance around 15 mins. It's more like a guest house but not hostel nor B&B. Breakfast is not included but it's always easy to find breakfast cafes or food places early morning in Taipei anyway. Nice decorations & warm ambience, highly recommended for young souls looking for inspiration in the old...
