Not a happy experience, I recommended some friends to stay there , and I also stayed there, but we all had different rooms , one was concealed without any notice, so when we arrived there at night , my friends couldn’t have any rooms to stay, he already booked but they cancelled and blamed they didn’t make last confirmed, my situation was another friend only stayed one night on 25th, I booked mine on 26th with another friend, the room was only for two people, we didn’t agree to let the other join us, so she went to the hotel told them she wanted added more bed in our room without asking my permission first, just told the hotel she was my friend, but we already got two people and the room was only for two people, the hotel told she could joined us and change into the two single beds which wasn’t the room we booked and that one I also didn’t know until I called the hotel to find out they let her to see the room and agreed to let her join which was totally un acceptable and no respect at all, I used Booking.com to book my room, the hotel should contact me first not let the other friend to check the room! They shouldn’t do this . They should call me first and asked is she was really my friend and let me know this case first. Because this situation, our trips were ended to a very awkward situation! It was a awful day trip for all of us. No respect the customer...
Read moreAmazed at the lack of reviews here for this place. We stayed at Ita Thao for 1 night in a "side lake view" twin room and it just exceeded our expectations, especially for the price. Reception was friendly. We got to pick 7:30, 8 or 8:30am time slots for our free breakfast and had our preferences checked (vegetarian etc). The breakfast was Aboriginal Taiwanese? served bento-style...not my usual fare, but light and tasty even for a fussy eater like myself. You can also top up with bread and jam, rice, and I forget what else from the nearby bench, which also had coffee and juice. ||The room was so spacious- we got 2 very comfortable double twin beds, a nice view, so much amenities...we were told we could keep the new face towels provided in a basket and the fridge (though a bit wobbly) had free drinks (water, juice and delicious milk tea) inside. TV had English channels like US ABC News. Location is great- close to the pier, but still quiet at night, and there's a boardwalk from there that takes you straight to the Ropeway. ||Some minor things: there's no heating in the room, but the blankets are warm enough. The toilet seat is not soft close. Brighter lighting over the mirrors...
