Natron Palace Hotel — Hotel in Arusha

Be very careful with this hotel. I asked about the rent a car, just only to get information about conditions and prices, they told me “no problem, wait a man which we called. He will take you and gave you information”. All service that he suggested didn’t match me. Then he started to threaten me and extort money. Hotel and he didn’t tell the price before and not warned me that the information will charge 15$. Then the hotel started threaten me too. They told that they take off my bag and forbid me go out. Hotel don‘t care about their guests at all, offers questionable services with questionable drunk performers. So if you don’t want to lose your money, to lose your nerves and your time avoid this hotel. There are a lot others here. In addition you will get too much small, old and unpleasant room. For breakfast you will get just drinks, even toasts they didn’t have for brekfast, only eggs. I’m sure that tripadvisor shouldn’t give their sign to the places where guests cannot...

PROS:||||- Location is near market, restaurants, bus station (also a CON due to noise).||||- Reasonable rate.||||- They stored our luggage while we were on safari with no problems.||||CONS:||||- Room (Delux) was exceptionally small! Couldn't open bathroom door fully - hits toilet.||||- Shower curtain does little to keep water from going everywhere.||||- Breakfast was...problematic. Toaster burns bread and you can't get bread out of it.||||- Young ladies speak little English at breakfast service, so understanding is difficult.||||- Shower handle broke off in my hand as I started shower. Called front desk, and they were only worried about broken handle. I asked to use a shower in another room, and they said we should pack up everything and move to 3rd floor room from 4th! Located conveniently near the bus stop and in the heart of downtown Arusha, Natron Palace Hotel is a friendly, well-managed hotel that provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay. My room featured a comfortable queen-size bed, a great balcony overlooking the city centre, a TV, a power bar for all my computer and electronic needs, and and all I had hoped for. The hotel was quiet and the food and service at the restaurant was very good, including the breakfast each morning; lots of nearby shops and restaurants are also worth exploring. I had a broken leg (not from times in Tanzania) and the staff were very kind and helpful when I needed a bit of assistance. The elevator also worked perfectly.
