At first glance, Hotel Aquiline might seem like just another spot in the bustling CBD — especially with a matatu stage right outside. But don’t let the location fool you. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a calm, clean, and well-maintained environment that instantly changes your perception.
The rooms are spotless and cozy, offering a peaceful retreat that’s surprisingly quiet despite the busy surroundings. Maybe it was the exhaustion from hiking Mt. Longido, but even others in our group agreed — it’s an exquisitely tranquil place.
Customer service here is top-notch. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making your stay comfortable. And the food? Absolutely mouth-watering! We had both dinner and breakfast, and the portions were generous — especially breakfast, which felt almost bottomless. Guests went for multiple rounds, and the kitchen kept up with smiles and speed.
Hotel Aquiline is a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and culinary delight. Whether you're passing through Arusha or staying a few days, this place is highly recommended. It’s a quiet oasis in the middle of the city — and a pleasant surprise...
Read moreAs a westerner I would only recommend to stay here for maximum 1 night of you are not used to African culture. Since it is located next to Arushas bus station and the hotel has not isolated windows, you will hear car-, motorcycles- and buses travelling and honking on the street below 24 h. The pictures does not show the rooms 100% because we ended up in a room where pretty much all drawers on the room was missing it's knobs and also a door to the wardrobe was missing... The shower needs a ledge because when you shower you will have water all over the floor in the bathroom if you don't start to shove the water into the outlet yourself with your foot...
The restaurant serves okey food. The breakfast buffet is very slim, toast, your choice of eggs, a juice, fruit, tea, coffee, hot chocolate powder and a few african warm dishes. The minus is the location opposite the bus station which is just one floor below. It is interesting to sit on the balcony and watch people but the air quality is very bad and the noise is loud. It's hard to figure out the entrance to the restaurant/breakfast when coming from the elevator... Need signs...
Read moreHotel Aquiline, Arusha. A very nice hotel that checks all the right boxes to justify its rating. The room I stayed in is large enough to comfortably accommodate two persons. It is well furnished with two chairs, a table, a dressing table, and a luggage stand. There is a big wardrobe and an open rack. All that so well placed. The bathroom, approximately 4.75x7 feet, is spacious. Hot and cold water is available all the time. Toiletries like soap and a very good dental kit are supplied.
They don't list an electric kettle for making tea/ coffee in the room among the amenities. However, the moment I requested one, it was provided in my room.
The staff are very nice, well behaved, and professional. Service is impeccable.
Highly...
