A bit of a disappointing experience: Before this experience we did 2 safaris in Kenya with other company (Masai Mara), and in Nakuru we went by ourselves and took a driver with us, which even though he never been there he was great trying to find animals. In Masai Mara the guide was exceptional. From 6 am to 6 pm trying to look for animals, amazing set up picnic, we got to see plenty of animals, he would know where to go, communicate with others over WhatsApp, phone, it was great! However, in Tanzania our experience was different with this company: So firstly we wanted only to go to Ngorongoro, but the manager at the agency sold us a 2 day trip with staying in a camp, because he said it will cost cheaper this way, as only 1 day going private was costing the same as 2 days (so it made sense to go to Tarangire, although it was not in our plans). Being in the car with other customers, we found out that in internet it was sold $20 cheaper the excursion. The guide, he was not outgoing, pretty quiet. He is a nice man, though. But we had to ask him to stop several times to take photos. But the most disappointing was the time we spent in the parks. Only 4 hours in each park including 1 hour break for lunch! (Usually the game drives should be 8 hour at least, and our other experiences were of 12 hours and our experience were 3! Almost nothing!). Although, we do understand the camp was 2 hours away from the crater and 3 hours away from Arusha, but still we could have spend at least another 2/3 hours inside the parks looking for animals. It seemed the guide really wanted to leave both parks as soon as possible to take us to the camp and to our hotels respectively. So for us is not worth the money we paid. Better find other company with more hours of game drive. I leave some photos, because the parks are...
Read moreWe took a 4 days (3 nights) safari. It was really, really good, but also it was kind of exhausting. We are happy that we were there and we strongly recommend it.
Good points: We saw almost all animals from not so far away (cheetahs and leopard by binocular, rest of the animals from the very close distance - lions walked close to our car); The driver was really good. He was trying to find us much animals as possible. He had really good eye. He also said a lot about animals and gave us a lot of details; The driver gave us a lot of time to make a photos and admire animals; One night we spent in a camp where zebras were spending a night too; The food was quite good - every day we had different dishes; Hot shower during the 1 and the 3 night (cold during the 2); Sunset and sunrise are really amazing; Electricity (possibility to charge phone/camera) during the 1 and the 3 night.
Bad points: Each night in different spot and it was really exhausting - nights are also really cold; No possibility to buy a beer/wine during the 2 and...
Read moreFrom the moment we were picked up, we knew we were in excellent hands. Our journey through Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro was beyond what we could have imagined. Each park offered something unique — from the peaceful lake views and elephant herds to the endless Serengeti plains and the awe-inspiring crater filled with life.
Our guide, Rondasy, was the heart of this adventure. His passion for wildlife, attention to every small detail, and his kindness made us feel like we were traveling with a friend rather than a guide. He taught us so much about the animals, the people, and the land. Every day was perfectly planned, and every sunset felt like the best one yet.
The lodges were wonderful, the food delicious, and the organization seamless. We are deeply thankful to Wanyama African Safaris for such a perfectly arranged trip and to Rondasy for making it truly unforgettable. Asante...
