Avoid this hotel! We booked 6 beachfront rooms for our party of 12.||Common issues for all 6 rooms:||1. Mattress covering consisted of a single flat (not fitted) sheet made of thin cotton. No fitted sheet or mattress pad. The sheet, which was just a few inches wider than the mattress, came untucked as you slept, putting your body in direct contact with the mattress surface, which had stains from previous exposure to bodily fluids, water, etc. Yuck!||2. Chairs in the balcony were practically unusable. Rickety and without cushions or thin cushions that were not properly sized and slid off as soon as you sat down. So much for enjoying the view from your balcony!||||Four of the six rooms had serious problems as follows. ||a. Plumbing. In one room, the shower water came out in three directions- most of it hit the ceiling, a trickle came down from the shower head, and a large part of it went straight down the drain from the faucet in the middle. When they fixed it the first time, they only stopped the spray up into the ceiling- all the hot water still went down the drain from the faucet. In another room, the toilet flush was inoperable. After they fixed it, it overflowed when filling up. In a different room, the shower knobs were “frozen” and shower could not be turned on. ||b. A/C. In 2 rooms, A/C did not work at all. They moved two guests to a different room, where the A/C ran full blast or not at all. Same situation in another room. ||c. Termite droppings. In one room, there was what appeared to be sand on the foot of the bed. They changed the sheet. The next day, it was the same. That’s when we realized it was termite droppings coming down from the ceiling!||||There were many other issues which we chose to ignore - upon checkin one bathroom smelled of urine, one room had a dirty cup from previous guest, there were no screens on any windows, allowing insects to come in freely, etc. ||||Normally, you would expect a hotel to try to make up for such severe shortcomings in some way such as refunds, freebies, etc. Not the case here. Apparently the property is to be torn down and rebuilt next spring. This may explain why they don’t want to spend anything for upkeep.||The food in their restaurants was mediocre and overpriced as others...

I had one of the worst experiences at Amman Beach Bungalow, and I feel compelled to warn others about staying here. From the moment we arrived, it was chaos. Despite having paid for our stay in full, including all taxes and charges as clearly stated on Booking.com, we were repeatedly hassled about paying additional taxes. The staff refused to contact Booking.com to verify, leaving me to handle it on my vacation. After a full day of back-and-forth and wasted time, I finally received an email from Booking.com confirming my payment, which I had to show to the so-called manager for the issue to be reluctantly.||The problems didn’t stop there. Upon check-in, we were given breakfast coupons, which we assumed were a courtesy since our booking did not include breakfast. However, this led to a series of exhausting conversations with staff and managers. One day they said it was fine to enjoy the breakfast as a “lucky treat,” the next day they claimed we had to pay, and the miscommunication kept spiraling. We were repeatedly assured by the first manager that it was sorted, only to be told later by a different “main manager” that we owed money for breakfast.||On our last day, we were held hostage—yes, hostage—at the hotel gates over a fabricated breakfast bill and the same redundant tax issue. The manager even threatened to call security and block our departure if we didn’t pay. It wasn’t about the money (first $240, then $60), but the sheer principle and audacity of their behavior. After over an hour of arguing and standing outside with all our luggage, they finally let us leave without payment. It felt like an outright scam.||The room conditions were appalling. Insects, including ants and larger bugs, were everywhere. The bathroom was in terrible shape, with lights and power cutting out constantly. Wi-Fi was nearly non-existent. The lack of cleanliness and maintenance was unacceptable for the high prices they charge.||Amman Beach Bungalow completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. The unprofessionalism, constant harassment over payments, and subpar facilities made this stay unbearable. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere.||Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place...

This is THE WORST experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. During check in, around midnight, Nathan was working and assisted with the luggage to the room. Walking up to the room, my friend screams look at the cat. I didn’t immediately see the cat so I kept walking behind Nathan. I then spotted the cat on the window seal and saw it was reaching for something. It was a RAT at the top of the window seal. The rat jumped down and ran into the room. The room door was already open, which is also an issue. Nathan proceeds to attempt to take our luggages in the room. We told him no. He said the rat doesn’t bite so it was ok. No sir. So he moved us to another room on the second floor. This room has huge gaps in the door which a rat can squeeze through (photos attached). The room was also not clean, full of Cobb webs (photos attached). There’s also a door at the bottom of the stairwell that had SEVERAL RATS behind it. We were very UNCOMFORTABLE so we told Nathan to alert his management that we’d be checking out the next day. After traveling for over 20 hours, we didn’t have the energy to leave that night. We also didn’t sleep well. Nathan also said he couldn’t do anything until management came in. The next morning we found out Nathan didn’t communicate a thing to anybody on the morning shift. We spoke with Arshad and Fatima, both management, the next morning and told them what happened. We sat in the lobby from 8am - 11am. During that timeframe we were ignored and overheard MANY UNHAPPY customers complain about their rooms. They’d pull each customer to side and whisper but we overheard many of the issues. We were finally offered an “upgraded room” with an ocean view. The room was hideous, dirty, and only had one bed. Housecleaning hadn’t even cleaned the room. We needed two separate beds. It was also on the first floor which was the cause of the original issue. We declined the upgrade and requested a refund. The hotel is REFUSING to REFUND us anything. There was one employee, Nassir, that showed compassion and patience during this entire incident. I hope he finds a better place of employment. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Avoid at all costs. 3 stars - why? Had to stay here for two nights since it was booked by a travel agency and they wouldn’t let us change or refund it. The room would cost 140 euro s per night in December - I stayed in better hostels in Asia than this. The first room we were given was moldy, dirty (stains on the linen and the mosquito net?) and didn’t even have a window (even though it said garden view on the booking?) so requested a different one. The next rooms door didn’t lock or close properly - insects and noise all around. The room after that had a tiny AC unit from the last century, noise that wouldn’t let you sleep and won’t cool your room in this heat. Staff was rude to aggressive when receiving complaints, tried to fix the broken door but made it worse. Management is the worse I have ever come across. Cleanliness - had the used products of a former guest in my room. Mosquito nets are full of holes so don’t work. Only plus is the staff at breakfast and the location right by the beach - of course there are no chairs or umbrellas available through the hotel though and you get harassed by people trying to sell you goods in continuation. Not a relaxing holiday, no chance for a tranquility ever, value for money is horrendous.

Very disappointing. 1) hotel should spend the money on proper frying pans with rubber handles for the kitchen staff who cook the breakfast eggs. The chefs have paper towel wrapped around the handles, see the photo, which set ON FIRE one morning. The chef later had burning paper towel on the floor as the handle kept setting alight. If the bowel of cooking oil on the table less than 1m away had caught fire it would have been mayhem and so dangerous!! Urgently fix this. 2) We were first put in S40, which had a large window in the bathroom (ventilation) which opened ONTO the bar. The band played loud music till very late and we couldn't sleep! Also the sea view was largely blocked by the low angled roof. This room is poorly sound proofed and should not be rented as a more expensive sea view room! To the credit of the staff after multiple trips to reception we were moved to the other sea view rooms on the other side. 3) the buffet food was poor. Little choice, cold food in the silver tins and overcooked meat on the side. Breakfast choice was very strange, pasta was offered every day! The menu food from the restaurant was much better.
