According to Esra guven review I am agree with her on what she said. I ve just been there this evening. I confirm that are overpriced and the food quantity isn't matching the price. In addition to this I saw the Restaurant reply on her review, it's really unprofetionnal and it proves what she said. By the way she did not say bad things she gave her review in a polite way. As I said the response is disappointing. Instead of addressing the concerns about the meal and the pricing, they resort to personal attacks.
As a tourist, I had high expectations for my dining experience. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations.
I believe constructive criticism is valuable for businesses to improve. I hope you will reconsider your approach to customer feedback. To let you know Mr/Ms The restaurant owner, it is not about money or budget; But it is about the none logical matches. Tourist before they came to your restaurant, they already have money for enjoying their time, they did not come to Zanzibar by Camel. To conclude, I have an advice for you, take the custumer critisim in a positif way and accept it because the tourist they have nothing to envy you or lie they are saying what...
Read moreWe visited Baraka Beach Restaurant and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Our starter arrived after about 20 minutes, which was fine, but once we finished, no one cleared our plates or paid any attention to our table. We assumed they would do so before serving the main dishes.
In the meantime, three other tables around us arrived much later, yet all of them received their food while we were still waiting. I approached the waiter several times, but his only response while passing by was: “Yes, but you already had a starter.” I explained that we had finished our starter at least 40 minutes earlier, and after checking the timestamp on my phone, I realized it had actually been over an hour. The waiter did not apologize—he just nodded indifferently.
After nearly 1.5 hours, our mains finally arrived, and sadly, the food was the worst we had in Zanzibar. To make matters worse, both my wife and I suffered stomach issues immediately afterward, which had never happened to us at any other restaurant here.
I cannot recommend this place to anyone. The best thing about Baraka Beach Restaurant is that Mama Mia, right next door, is a much...
Read moreDon’t bother - only good thing about this place was the relatively quick service time but it wasn’t busy anyway.
Food was ok at best and insulting at worst, the beef steak was watery and runny. Rice particularly was not fresh and looked like something from a ready meal bag. Fries reeked with overused oil and were clearly cooked from frozen. A few sorry vegetables and that was it. The plate was all runny and a mess. Nothing felt fresh.
Even the mango juice wasn’t good and watery.
The area at the beach was ok but the experience was ruined by performers. Okay fine we saw one group of guys doing jumps and stuff and felt compelled enough to tip them. But then literally 5 minutes later another guy doing fire show came in and also asked for support. When no one bothered to tip he continued standing for a good minute or two before some people gave him a bit of cash. It was really awkward. Owners were clearly aware since a security guy came up to him and said something before the show started.
The staff would benefit from a shower before approaching customers.
There are plenty of much better...
