Siri Beach Lodge — Hotel in Unguja

After having a bad experience with another place in Zanzibar, we had to leave on the same day and find something quickly. We found Siri Beach Lodge, checked the rooms, and immediately fell in love.

The staff are super kind, and the manager is really friendly, open, and communicative at all times (plus, she speaks Spanish, which made everything much easier for us).

The rooms are very clean, spacious, quiet, with air conditioning and a fan, and they offer unlimited water and coffee. The bathrooms are clean and fully equipped with towels, soap, and everything you need.

For us, the mattress was important. To be honest, it wasn’t perfect, but we know that mattresses on the island are generally quite hard, so it’s not something specific to this hotel. Despite that, everything else makes this place ideal.

As small suggestions to make it a 10/10: the mattress and the hot water pressure, as the pressure is low when using hot water, and you need to use colder water for more pressure. But these are just tiny details, because Siri Beach Lodge really saved us after the bad experience with the previous hotel and made our stay in Nungwi so much more enjoyable.

Siri is Swahili and means Secret, and it is defenetly the best Secret of Zanzibar! This place made my holidays absolutely perfect. The Hotel is one step away from the indian ocean which looks like paradise. The hotel has a special atmosphear, with its 10 rooms it is not that big like other resorts around Nungwi, it is much more personally. I was travelling alone and the two girls Baiba and Katja are really friendly and help you in any case. They can organize you a nice trip with a trustable tourguide and also they can give you a lot of insider tips for food. Also they speak a lot of languages which made it very easy to communicate. The breakfast was delicius and it was very nice that you can have it in the green garden infront of the rooms. The rooms are big and the shower is one of the best i had in Zanzibar (there was a lot of pressure :-P). And what i dont want to forget to say is that you have a very good WIFI there, which is very rare on the island, no limit and very fast! If i come to Zanzibar again, i will defentelty stay here again! Thank you for this...
