This was an absolute delight. Everything was wonderful about this place.

Beautiful setup, fresh produce, freshly made food and drinks, lovely staff and lots of parking space.

Me and my partner were in Zanzibar for 6 days and we visited this place for lunch for 4/6 days. This is very rare for us that we visit the same restaurant multiple times on our vacation. I think that itself speaks how much we loved the place.

I am a vegetarian. There were so many veg options (& delicious too) , which otherwise not that easily available on the island. Loved their paninis and my husband loved their chocolate pastry.

We had rented a two-wheeler and used to park outside the restaurant. No parking fee drama which is prevalent across the island.

Pricewise place is quite reasonable. Portion sizes are quite big. Juices and drinks are freshly made post your order.

Would highly recommend to visit this place if in Zanzibar, whether you are a vegetarian, non-vegetarian or vegan, you would...

Lovedddd the food here at passion & thyme! We are Vegan and we ate here like 3 or 4 times. We always had the build your own salad option where you can choose your base or either pasta , baby potatoes , rice or leaves ... then go on to add several toppings plus dressings, and you get some cibatta bread on the side. We also had ice coffees a few times where you can choose plant milk that they make fresh on the day ! We tried cashew , coconut and Almond (we recommend cashew as it's more creamy for coffee) . We also had a few sweet treats too such as the energy balls (coconut were the best) and some fudge brownies which were great too ! Staff were super friendly and great English! They understood everything we asked for. WiFi is also very strong here too , you get 30 mins per WiFi coupon...

What a little gem this place is! Just off the main road on a narrow dirt track lane, you can’t miss it with its rustic mismatched tables and chairs and with the little resident cat curled up on one of the cushions, it couldn’t be more inviting. The food was lovely and fresh, I had the ciabatta panino with speck and roasted tomatoes and loved it! After eating seafood and fish everyday this was a welcomed change. All the breads, quiches and cakes are home made daily by the French owner Celine, let me tell you they are all yummy! If you are anything like me, the hardest part was choosing what to have, everything looked delicious. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, I can’t recommend this...

Loved it!! The food is excellent and fresh! Drinks too! We had a baguette and a piece of quiche! They were both really tasty. Prices are extremely high compared to other restaurants but that's how they can maintain the high quality. If you are looking for cheap dining options don't come here! We had also 2 choko balls as dessert. One was with cinnamon and the other one with pili pili. I would maybe review the recipe of those ones. The cinnamon one didn't taste like cinnamon and both didn't have much cocoa in them. Didn't really love them honestly! But everything else was perfect! Including the super friendly owner of the place!
