I stayed at this hotel for 6 days from Dec. 1 to Dec 6.
All facilities such as the room, lobby, and restaurant were well organized, good clean than I expected. ( good)
Most of the staff was very kind and friendly. So it was great and almost perfect so far during my stay at this hotel.
But one guy who is old and the owner of this hotel ( he said i'm the owner when I asked him.) made me feel so bad and upset.
it was on Saturday early in the morning ( 4 AM. Dec.3) and I was sitting and resting for a while (even short sleep) for getting some fresh air on the sofa in the behind lobby.
He sat down in the lobby and was watching TV alone with the volume turned up too loud.
So i was too uncomfortable to take a rest and asked him to turn down the sound politely. But he was angry and said like as below
Who are you and you stay here?
what is your room number?
why are you in here at this time. NO!
You go to your room to sleep. . GO. GO! ( repeat and repeat aggressively)
He spoke too aggressively and i was felt too scary like the police or soldiers attacking civilians.
I felt very offensively and racist that the strong person such as police and soldiers who have strong power bully the weak normal person.
I have never experienced this before in any other several hotels during my trip in aboard so far even in Thailand as well.
Even though it was a regulation ( do not take a rest and sleep in the lobby in early in the morning ). but i think it is much better to explain the regulation to the customer politely.
I came back to my country last week and I am still angry with your owner
I have a plan to visit "Chi yang Mai" in next year again.
but i don't want to visit again for the next trip for such a like this hotel run by a...

Still a good hotel in a good location, so what’s changed ? A major issue for me is car parking availability near the entrance being disabled. The hotel is expanding and has a restaurant on the ground floor catering for non-guests This has led to the alley at the side of the hotel being crammed full of scooters and the car parking at a premium as well as being constantly full. Uncontrolled parking has become endemic Also the single space adjacent to the side entrance that could well be made into a disabled parking bay is full of scooters - have suggested this previously no action for disabled guests parking !
The price - being the low (wet) season with many hotels reducing the rate the cost is now higher.
Stopped buying breakfast as eggs still cold and toast hit and miss
Will I continue to use the hotel ?
It have many features that made this very good value for money, not so now I think I will look at the competition to see what my money will buy elsewhere before I book again.
The other downside was the amount of smokers in the rooms with smoke in the corridor

Have used on many occasions when visiting Chiang Mai Helpful staff and a good room with WiFi and TV en-suite and comfortable beds Breakfast has an adequate choice and only spoilt by two things - a toaster that toasts one side only and cold scrambled eggs - hopefully fixed by the time of my...
Read moreWe first checked in on the 13th of December 2023 , we rented a car and drove from the airport to the hotel which was very easy to reach. The hotel is situated close the the Wororot Market , China Town. Going to the Old Quarter or the surroundings is very easy and access to several parkings around.
The place has a seafood restaurant either buffet or a la carte , a coffee shop and many other outlets in th surrounding s.
Darley Hotel , itself is very convenient , staff are very friendly and caring . Rooms are nice and spacious , the mattresses are too hard for our comfort and had twin beds instead of a double bed. Travelling as a family of 4 our children are good with the twin beds.
The breakfast is a buffet, very well served with good food proposals. Very friendly staff and excellent service.
Safe parking available and secured with cctv and a security guard to guide you.
We checked out on the 16th but had to reserved again due to some issues to our flight to Hanoi. (Visa) . Just a phone call and we had our rooms ready to welcome us again until the 20th our next flight is to Hanoi . Hopefully this time all is good.
We recommend this place to all visitors...
