We came to this restaurant due to their immaculate reviews. I cannot understand how they were able to achieve such high ratings. Maybe we came in on a bad day? Anyways, we arrived at 9pm and we were the only customers. They were out of beef patty’s. We ended up ordering a steak and a beer. The steak was so average and for some reason did not come with the mushroom sauce that was in the photos. The restaurant did not clarify that they were out of mushroom sauce (otherwise, I would not have included this in my original review). Overall this place was meh! This was our particular experience, and based on others reviews, others have had better experiences.
I initially rated the service as a 2 because I felt like our server was not very accommodating to some of the asks, failed to mention that they were out of certain ingredients, and initially gave us a warm beer and charged us for it even though it was chucked in the trash. When we paid our bill at the front, management was very kind and removed the warm beer for us from our check. For this and their kind recommendations, I will raise service to a 3. If the only people we interacted with was those by the bar, I would give the service a 5.
Lastly, while we did arrive around 9pm, they allowed us to sit, they close at 10pm, and we were out of there well before 10pm. It would be helpful if it was included on Google that the last order is taken at 9pm rather than only the closing time at 10pm. If we knew this, we would...
Read moreDecent burger in Chiang Mai. I ordered the “very cheese” burger, added lettuce and swapped the onion ring for jalapeño.
To be honest I kind of found it hard to choose a burger because I just wanted a standard bacon cheese burger with salad but there was something I didn’t want on every burger (ie. An onion ring). I feel like this can be a little frustrating because you might pay for something you don’t want. They were nice and swapped it for jalapeños, I will note that I saw 3 small jalapeños and barely tasted them.
The fundamentals of the ingredients were all kind of okay, decent bun, nice well cooked meat (note: it’s kind of thin like a smash patty), nice cheese, etc. where I see room for improvement is the the ratio felt pretty far off, there was too much salad (yes I did add lettuce but a lot was added). In addition the burger was warm but not hot, you can see this as the cheese hasn’t melted. The patty is also pretty thin so consider getting a double. Maybe a few more jalapeños would have been nice too.
Even considering the above this burger is okay, I think if they fix these things mentioned above I would be...
Read moreI had tried their Bangkok branch in Sam Sen on a recommendation and found the food very good. When I heard they had opened a branch in Chiang Mai I definitely had to try and was not disappointed. Same fantastic food but in a nicer atmosphere. Service was excellent on our lunch time visit. We sat inside in the air con restaurant but would like to try the nice rooftop area if going at night time next time. Good range of beers at reasonable prices, including Beer Laos, Kirin, Budweiser plus craft and Thai beers. This is a very well run business right down to fine detail including good choice of background music but not too loud. Live music Friday-Sunday 6:30-8.00 pm. Good range of Thai coffee beans to enjoy there or take away. Situated on 3 Rd floor of Lan Sook building next to Darley Hotel and behind the old...
