Spotless and Comfortable! Very Satisfied Stay.
A few days before my stay, I received a message from Rena House informing me of a water supply issue at the property. Thanks to that early notice, I was able to adjust my reservation in advance. Many hotels wouldn’t even bother to notify guests, and I’ve had the unfortunate experience of arriving only to find out about major problems in the room. This kind of proactive communication really shows how considerate they are.
Later, I stayed at Rena House and had a truly comfortable experience. The room was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped. Thanks to the owner's care and attention, everything felt welcoming and stress-free. The Wi-Fi was steady and fast, the large fridge was super convenient, and there was a proper desk for PC work. The air conditioner worked well, and the electric kettle was a nice touch. For me, the facilities were more than enough.

Read moreA lady, namely Kaew, is the owner of the guest house. She is capable, and she fulfills all my requests during my stay in September 2024. The guesthouse has 8 rooms with all 2 twin beds. As I requested the most quiet room, Kaew arranged a room at 2/F with 3 sides window to me. During my stay, I found the window frame was defective, and she brought a new hinge to replace it immediately. As I wanted to return the rented bicycle to the bike shop, the shop was closed, and so I could not get back my deposit. Kaew was helpful by calling and discussing with the shop owner that I wanted to return the bicycle and to get back the deposit. Finally, I returned the bicycle and got back 1000 bahts deposit. Without Kaew's help, I think I could not get the money back. To me, her personal services are better than any 6-star hotel. Though there was a construction side nearby, it did not affect much as the noise usually found during...
Read moreI echo the recommendations made by many others who have written. Rena House is a very well-maintained, clean, quiet place tucked away in a residential section in the northeast corner of the Old City. The house and the few guestrooms ( I think 5 or at most 6) have a "Japanese" feel to them: high level of cleanliness ( take off your shoes off at the door because the floors are spotless), considerate touches here and there ( a small, but appropriate sized, kettle for boiling water, for example). I think the owner (?), the very hospitable lady, is Japanese but I am not 100% sure. As others have said, it's within easy walking distance to all the restaurants, bars, and various stores scattered throughout the Old City. I highly recommend the place and would definitely return on...
