Breakfast lovers, this one is for you! Blue diamond is a cozy hideaway in Chiang Mai where you can kick back and enjoy a slow morning away from the bustling streets outside. There are so many seats available, even beanbags outside where you can unwind with a good book. Water fountain and koi pond all contribute to the soothing atmosphere and it’s just an amazing environment to find yourself in - one that makes you want to linger after your meal just so you can bask in the warm morning sun~ Such a wide menu offering the most dietary requirement-friendly options i’ve seen anywhere in Thailand. So many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options… There’s also an adjoining shop/bakery selling just about anything you can imagine. The bakery boasts a wide selection of healthy baked goods and homemade jam and granola as well. Owners are so so friendly and the whole business is family-run. they definitely made our day and experience far more enjoyable. Love all the breakfast and brunch spots i’ve visited in Chiang Mai but this is definitely a long-standing favourite because the calm, welcoming atmosphere here is simply unparalleled!
We ordered: Muesli fruits and yogurt - this is my go-to here because I love their muesli sooo much. The fruits used in this are the same ones they sell out front, and their homemade granola is sold at the low price of 50 baht for an entire packet too! So many different types of nuts and grains found in it which I just can’t get enough of Big fruits salad - got this for sharing, everything was amazing and unbelievably fresh Banana pancake - so fluffy! Size was also very generous though personally I would’ve liked to have had more banana in it (only because it was so good 🥲) Yogi tea - I definitely needed this to warm me up! They have pages of all the different types of teas they offer, so lack of choice is definitely not a problem here~
All in all, a must-visit for...
Read moreBlue Diamond looks beautiful, fresh vegetables on display, baked goods and a beautiful garden. However the food, and drinks, are utterly disappointing. I came here for the first time in 2017 and have been back since then a few times. This morning I went again, the main reason being that it’s one of the few places that opens at 7 am, though this was my last visit here. I came in and sat down at 7, there were about 4/5 staff members walking around who all saw me yet no one came to my table. After waiting for about 10 minutes for someone to come and take my order I went over to the staff myself and asked: Can I please order? I was greeted with an annoyed look and unfriendly attitude. When my Earl Grey tea and overnight oats arrived it wasn’t enjoyable at all to eat my breakfast, the oats were watery without any flavor and the tea was a low quality Earl Grey, yet for what you get you pay quite a lot. It didn’t taste fresh and I didn’t feel nourished and ended up not eating all of the oats. When I was leaving again greeted with an unfriendly attitude. I very much appreciate and love high quality food, simple food though with beautiful subtle flavors, and very important: fresh food. You can taste when there’s love and care put in preparing food and that’s definitely not the case here. The quality of the food is low. This place only looks beautiful but doesn’t deliver on the actual ingredients...

This is one of the most Relaxing, Laid Back and Enjoyable Restaurants that I've ever been to. The Garden and Fish Pond is a place where you can totally Unwind and meet and chat with fellow Travellers.
As I said we stayed all day. At one stage we were the only Customers left... We actually thought they may ask us to leave, but the Staff just continued their work around us. They cleaned, had their lunches and set up the other tables while we just sat and chatted.
The food was Delicious. 👏 We had various vegan and non vegan meals. Oatmeal, Fish and Chips, Spring Rolls, Fried Rice. More I can't think of. Several teas, coffees and Pro biotic drinks. A few of their freshly baked vegan cakes.
I'd have no problem becoming a regular customer here on my return to Chiang Mai.
They bake their own goods. Sell Organic fruit and veg. Have Shampoos, soaps and other toiletries for sale.
The Staff were Wonderful, but sometimes we had to go find them, that's no problem. The Owner is a Gem. On our way out I apologized for staying so long...The Owner just smiled, said she was glad we'd had a good time and hoped to see us the next day.
Thank You for a Wonderful...
