RAD RABBIT VEGAN PIZZERIA — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

If I order during times when a certain chef or employee is making the food, I'm in for a profound disappointment. I don't know who the employee is, but when I receive food from them, the quality is very bad compared to how it used to be years ago, and compared to when other employees are preparing the food.

Depending on who the chef is, the pizza quality has deteriorated to the point where I don't order the pizza anymore. It used to be 5 stars, but now I'm too wary to order their pizza. The pizza is so sloppy.

Depending on who the chef is, sometimes their sandwiches are way too oily and the bread is over-baked.

Their thick crust seems to now be nonexistent.

They also removed their calzones and the kindness pepperoni pizza from their menu, which is a huge disappointment.

They also removed their pistachio gelato and other vegan ice creams from their delivery menu, which is another profound disappointment.

They changed things and now charge extra for ordering a different sauce if you order the cauliflower wings.

They now refuse to give fries if you order a hot dog, when they used to always do that.

They don't have the strawberry and chocolate bars or gnocchi on their Line Man menus and refuse to put them on there for some reason.

I'm not a fan of their brownie (most customers aren't), yet it's their most promoted dessert, while they ignore their better desserts like the strawberry and...

It’s shocking that this restaurant has as many stars as it does. The pesto pizza I ordered was disappointingly tasteless - how do you make pesto tasteless? It was oily and the vegan cheese literally had the consistency of LOOGIES. I had to scrape it off the pizza. It seemed they combined cashews & tapioca (it was basically all tapioca). From the first bite my body said: no. The crust wasn’t cooked all the way through, it was still gooey in the middle. So upsetting. I left my plate a crumbly mess, picking apart the pieces that were edible. I actually saw another lady who left her plate in the same way!

What is happening with this restaurant..

The same night, I tell my friend about my experience and she goes on about her time. She ordered the jackfruit BBQ sandwich and said, “it was like they just shredded the jackfruit and threw BBQ sauce on top. Plus the coleslaw was just shredded cabbage..no seasonings.”

This spot looks cozy, clean.. I was shocked that the food wasn’t good! And the positive reviews.. it’s baffling. To those who’ve had a good experience here, all the best to you. For me, I wanted higher...

I’m not vegan, but this place is the only place in chiang mai that does GF pizza other than a rival vegan place, but that rival place uses soy in their vegan cheese which I do not eat for health reasons….

Rad rabbit doesn’t use soy and I have enjoyed ordering their takeout GF pizzas via grab. However the quality is quite unreliable.

Sometimes the base is thin and cooked reasonably well, although it always requires 5 mins in the oven otherwise it’s very gooey and I prefer a thinner and crispier base.

Other times it’s a much thicker base, with also a lot more toppings thrown on top in terms of vegan cheese. And on these occasions the base is totally uncooked and does not digest well at all.

I’d recommend anyone doing GF to try rad rabbit but at the same time the quality does need to become more consistent, as I have seen a lot of bad reviews now of the uncooked base on the GF pizza, going back quite a long time, so it has obviously been a common problem for a while.

I’d love to give 5 stars, and hopefully will be able to in future when management address this issue with the gluten...
