Wat Lam Chang — Local services in Chiang Mai Province

A small wat close to the oldest wat in Chiang Mai. Still worth a visit as it's only a couple of minutes walk from Wat Chang Man. It now has a cafe which does food and fruit shakes. Finally got around to reviewing the restaurant of this temple. Khao Soi Khun Yai (my favourite KS place) is closed for renovations for 2 weeks so I had the perfect opportunity. Very good Khao Soi for only 40 Baht. Very filling. There is free water hanging around. There's also free ice cubes in an insulated bucket next to where the glasses are. there's no fwifi. Alcohol and smoking are forbidden on the grounds of all temples in Chiang Mai. there are fans indoors but you can also sit outside at 3 tables...

Wat Lam Chang in Chiang Mai is a small, charming temple tucked away in the Old City. Its main chedi is guarded by two stone elephants, giving the temple its name (“Lam Chang” means “elephant row”), and the intricate Lanna-style carvings on the gates and shrines reveal careful craftsmanship.

I love this place because there are so many cats around. There's an old American man who feeds the cats daily.
