The hotel rooms are so run down and uncomfortable. We've been traveling Asia for 6 months so we are used to the roughness of it, we know what to expect but wow this is by far the worst hotel we've stayed in and it isn't even that cheap!!! The beds are rock hard, actually comfier sleeping on a bus or the floor. There is a massive wooden pole thing down the middle of the bed, it's given us a bad back, sore neck and haven't been able to sleep a whole night through. The shower is awful. Makes the whole bathroom wet (again we are very used to wet rooms but this is not functional). The shower doesn't stay up in place, no matter how hard you try, the shower is so weak it doesn't wash you without really scrubbing. We asked for extra blankets to sleep with, to soften the bed and owner said no, we needed clean towels and he wouldn't give us until we gave old ones back (which is fine, just a little unfriendly). The curtains let light in at 7am. Just would not recommend. Air con...
Read moreAghhhhh… Bad experience 🫠!!! Stayed here last night and honestly, it was a pretty bad experience. We found this place while scrolling through the map since most hotels were fully booked. Tried booking through Agoda where the price was listed at around 400 THB, but it said all rooms were booked. When I called, the guy said they did have a room but the price was 800 THB. We thought, fine, no big deal, and paid. But wow, the condition of the room was disappointing. The bed sheets had stains, I don’t think they’ve ever been washed. The whole place smelled bad, and the toilet was full of drain flies. Drain flies all over toilet, that’s mad 🤯Like, how does someone run a hotel and not care about basic hygiene or cleanliness? I was seriously wondering how I’d even sleep there, but I didn’t have much choice.
Definitely the first and last time staying here. Wouldn’t recommend this...
Read moreLet’s be honest, this is a guest house and not a 5* hotel. You get what you pay for. We stayed here for 3 nights last week for the light festival and for what we paid, I cannot moan at all. Jay the owner is attentive and helpful, the location is walkable into the old town and various places near by. Yes the rooms are dated and the unmatched covers and pillows and some of it needs a good dust etc but it smelt clean and the covers smelt washed, air con worked, slippers in the rooms and fresh water daily. As I’ve said, you get what you pay for and for the 3 nights we paid, it’s cheaper than a local hotel near us for 1 night and I’ve stayed in worse places than this. If you need somewhere that’s affordable, good location and someone who is caring and will look after you, then please give Rim Ping a try and enjoy Jays...
