Rimsuan House — Hotel in Ko Lanta Yai

This place is perfect for backpackers and those who was simple however, we booked the 'Superior bungalow' there was nothing superior about it! It was the same as all the others which is what let it down. Being 'superoir' I would have expected it to have been air tight, it wasn't. All of the bugs in the world got in and had to use some initiative to fill the wholes in the mosquito net so that we weren't eaten alive! ||However the huts came with most necessities; fan, shower, a kettle, light, bed, mosquito net! But no fridge, TV, or anything else you'd assume a 'superior room' would have. ||It was in a good position any across the road from a 7 eleven, lots of quaint restaurants and and few bars. Quiet it's in a quiet area but lots of beaches. Also near places you can hire bikes to explore the island, make sure to wear lots of sun cream whilst doing this as myself and the boyfriend both got sacaged...

Nobody on reception poor communication. after looking at accommodation and seeing all of the rubbish we decided not to stay, hotel didn’t respond to my request to waiver fees all day, then contacted me 10 hours later asking when we will check in. I replied however no reply back, it was a no refund booking so was prepared to lose money, however it was that bad we decided not to stay and loose 2000thb. Poor communication nobody on reception is just not acceptable for me. If you’re a hippy or don’t mind rubbish everywhere could be good option for you. It also seemed overpriced for the facility offered and state of area. Take note of...

They made us pay in cash. We were not happy to pay by cash because the ATM charges you 220 bahts for every withdrawal. We did explain this before booking again (because we didn't want to move rooms) but they still wanted cash and took the room offline, so we could not book again through Agoda.

We wanted to extend our stay because it was great location and basic necessities. However after extending our stay we still did not have towels changed or toilet roll refilled .
