Without doubt, Tango Vibrant Living Place is one of my favorite 3-stars hotels I’ve stayed for vacation in Bangkok, Thailand.
Room: We booked for the Superior Double Room via Agoda, stayed at Tango Vibrant Living Place for duration of 7 days. Overall, the room is very spacious and do have all the basic necessities such as Wi-Fi, TV, Air-conditioner, water heater, boiler, fridge, safe deposit box, hair dryer etc. Note, this is not a 4/5-stars hotel, so don’t expect facilities like spa, sauna, gym, swimming pool etc. If you are a non-smoker it might be wise for you to request for non-smoking room when check in as there are few floors in which smoking is totally prohibited in rooms.
Location: Location wise, this hotel is right on the spot. 10 minutes walk to the closest Airport Link station in which you can take the railway to airport in about 30 minutes at the price of ~40 Baht per person (taxi will cost about 400-500 baht). 5 minutes walk from two 7-11 shops. 5-10 minutes walk to various seafood, India, local cuisine restaurants/stalls along the street. 10-15 minutes walk to Pratunam Night market, Platinum Mall etc. By taking the railway, it will take less than 50 baht per person to go to various tourist attraction places such as Lebua sky tower Hotel, Chatuchat market, MBK etc.
Staffs: The staffs were extremely friendly. Although they are pretty occupied with serving the guests that arrived before us upon our arrival, we were still warmly welcomed and being asked politely to give them a moment. On the second day, we met Mr Wut, who works as a manager in the hotel. Mr Wut has such a warm and great personality in which he volunteered to show us around the area during his off hour, guided us on which public transports to use to get to our destinations and even treated us for supper (A HUGE KUDOS to Tango Hotel for having such a great manager). The reception staffs are exception friendly too, in an occasion when we ran out of Thai Baht to pay for the hotel room extension, one of the reception staffs actually volunteered to go to the nearest bank to exchange the currency for us in person.
The warm personality of all the staffs we encountered really made our day and made us felt like staying at home along the stay.
All respect to the manager Mr Wut and all the staffs who do a great job here, a true sample of excellent...
Read moreRoom 808/809:
We were given Room 808 when we first arrived. When we went up to the room, we found that there were clothes lying all around the room. So we went back down to the counter and told them about the situation. The desk lady looked as shocked as us. She asked some guy to go up the room and checked. After waiting for 10 to 15 minutes, the desk lady issued us another room, Room 809. I believed they had made a mistake by issuing us a room which had been occupied by someone else. I think this is really inappropriate to make such mistakes. Supposedly, it was our room that was mistaken and gave it to someone else. Our things would have been stolen or our privacy could be intruded. As a result, I do not feel safe for all the nights I stayed in the hotel. Hence, I believe hotels should not make such careless mistakes.
There is no safe box in our room, which the website states otherwise.
On the first night, I went to shower. I found out that the water coming out of the shower head was very weak and little. Hence, I really had a hard time showering.
The balcony door lock is spoilt. Hence, we felt very unsafe when sleeping.
The blanket and bedsheet have holes.
The second morning when we woke up, we found that one of the ceiling lights had spoilt and dropped (refer to photo). So we went down, told the desk lady about the situation and asked if we could change room. As a result, the desk lady issued us another room, Room 510, however, without asking any person to check the state of the room prior to issuing us the key.
Room 510:
Room 510 is a much better place compared to 809. Locks are all working. There is a safe box. The water coming out of the shower head is slightly better, though it was still weak.
The kettle was spoilt. Thus, we could not boil any water.
There are holes on some corner of the wall.
Others:
The only good thing about the hotel is that the desk ladies are friendly. The desk lady on the first night chatted with us.
The location is good.
Overall:
I will not go back to this hotel again although the prices are relatively cheap. We do not expect world class facilities from a relatively cheap hotel but we do expect the basic necessities such as kettle, safe box, shower and locks to be all present...
Read moreTango Vibrant Living Hotel is a humble and simple 3-star hotel located in one of the streets very close to the Pratunam Market. Their business goal is to provided an environmental friendly hotel service to their customers, hence changing of bed sheets are made after several days of staying and room electricity will be turned off after leaving the room (as we only had 1 room key per room).
Upon arrival, their front desk greeted us politely and the check in process was swiftly completed. If travellers’ main language is English, it might be a little difficult to communicate or get some recommended restaurants nearby.
The room cleanliness was slightly below expectation and it was very hot and stuffy when we first opened the door. Bed sheets were lightly stained, but we were too exhausted to make an immediate complain after a long day trip.
The room temperature eventually becomes better as the air cond in front of our bed worked very hard to give us a better environment.
Utilities like mini fridge, television and hot water pot was provided, but we didn’t managed to find the hair blower. Simple hotel amenities like soap, cotton buds were provided limitedly. Suggest travellers can get their desired ones from 7-11 just nearby the corner of the street.
Accessing to the hotel rooms were easy as they do not need the room key to access to each floor. Rooms were provided as advertised, but with a lightly dimmer lighting.
One of the perks living here is their bed is quite hard and pillows given are more than 2 each person. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a reasonable price here.
Hope they complete their room renovation soon!
Remark: Nearest convenient store 7-11 is a 2 minute walk and along the street there are 2 more 7-11 as well. Nearest restaurant “Thailicious” was great with an above average price. They have a sky train stop 5 minute walk nearby and BigC is just a 10 min walk. Overall, Tango is a very strategic location for simple travellers who are looking forward to shop and city walk...
