Madras Darbar – A Must-Visit for Indian Food Lovers in Pratunam, Bangkok! During our visit to Bangkok, we were craving authentic Indian food, and Madras Darbar in Pratunam exceeded our expectations in every way! From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were not only friendly but also very attentive to our needs. We ordered a variety of dishes to get a complete experience of their menu, and each item was cooked to perfection. The Butter Masala Dosa was crisp on the outside and had a flavorful, well-spiced filling inside, paired with delicious chutneys and sambar. It truly brought back the flavors of South India. For a little twist, we tried the Veg Noodles, which had the perfect balance of spices and crunch from fresh vegetables. It was a great fusion dish, ideal for those who enjoy Indo-Chinese flavors. The Chilli Chicken was another highlight of our meal. The chicken was tender and coated in a perfectly spiced, slightly tangy sauce. It had just the right level of heat, making it a great side dish to pair with rice or noodles. The Chicken Biryani was an absolute delight! The rice was aromatic, fluffy, and infused with spices, while the chicken was juicy and well-cooked. Every bite was bursting with authentic biryani flavors, making it one of the best we’ve had in Bangkok. To end our meal, we had their Coffee, which was strong, flavorful, and a perfect way to wrap up our dining experience. Overall, everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and cooked with great attention to detail. The portion sizes were generous, and the pricing was reasonable for the quality of food served. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and had a welcoming atmosphere that made our experience even better. A special mention to the staff – they were extremely cooperative and ensured we had a great time. Their service was quick, and they were happy to accommodate our requests. If you’re in Bangkok and looking for authentic Indian food, Madras Darbar in Pratunam is a must-visit! Whether you’re craving South Indian delicacies, North Indian curries, or even Indo-Chinese dishes, this place has it all. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be visiting again!

So my friend and I were really hungry last night and we decided to try something new again because Bangkok has such an incredible variety of restaurant so why not try them all if we can! I love chicken 65 I don’t know what that means but you’ll find us in more South Indian restaurants - again not sure why but it’s one of my favorite dishes to order when I’m in South Indian! This chicken 65 was a little different a different name which means extras spicy 🌶️ !! so I was all on board I’m like Yep let’s do it! So we ordered that plus we ordered the lamb Biyrani, a vegetarian thali which came with a boat load of white rice 🍚 and we ordered the egg 🥚 🌶️ chilli!! I must say that I absolutely loved the egg 🍳 chili 🌶️ it was different and very tasty! 😋 Next time I order I will get them to not include the yolk because I prefer egg whites but anyway it didn’t matter it was all incredibly tasty ! The chicken 65 chattrang or something was also very tasty a & delicious 🤤- I wish they would have left the bones in it because I really would’ve preferred to have the bones of the chicken in there cause that’s just makes it more appealing for me! The Lamb Biryani was very very tasty as well and had huge chunks of lamb 🐑 in it! The only thing I was disappointed about was the way that vegetarian thali was packed for delivery because when we got it and I just wish all of these restaurants would stop using the Styrofoam containers because they don’t hold it would be much better if they wrap the liquid stuff in mini plastic bags! Anyway that is just food for thought but otherwise overall I would highly recommend this restaurant whether it’s delivery or go there to eat although I didn’t go there to eat so I don’t know what it looks like so I can’t comment on the ambience or atmosphere or service because I got delivery! During our family trip to Bangkok, we had the pleasure of dining at Madras Darbar. After a long day exploring MBK Mall and CentralWorld, we sought a comforting meal for our little ones. Guided by positive reviews, we decided to give this place a try, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring both North and South Indian dishes. We were particularly impressed with the rich flavors and authenticity of the meals served. The chefs skillfully customized the spice levels to suit our family's preferences, ensuring even the kids enjoyed every bite. While not a lavish establishment, Madras Darbar provides a warm and welcoming environment. The staff was attentive and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Situated near major shopping hubs, the restaurant is easily accessible for those exploring the city's central areas. Its proximity to popular attractions makes it a convenient dining option after a day of sightseeing. We found the pricing to be reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. It's a great spot for families seeking delicious Indian cuisine without breaking the bank. In summary, our experience at Madras Darbar was delightful. For anyone in Bangkok craving genuine Indian flavors in a comfortable setting, this restaurant is a must-visit.

Embarking on a solo culinary adventure while my family slept, I found myself at Madras Darbar—a decision I’ll never regret. At 10:00 PM, the place was packed, and I was the only non-Indian guest—always a promising sign for authentic curry! The atmosphere was buzzing, the aromas intoxicating, and the energy unmistakably South Indian. The waiter/manager recommended a special chicken curry, and wow—what a dish! Tender chicken bathed in a rich, perfectly spiced gravy that had just the right kick. Every bite was pure joy. The staff were warm and welcoming, making me feel like an honored guest rather than just another diner. In a city full of food options, Madras Darbar stands out. Five stars, no question—I’ll definitely be back (and maybe next time, I’ll even bring my family). The combination in the picture cost me around 350Baht - what a complete win.
