KO SEAFOOD — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

I wanted to try fresh seafood and since this restaurant at the Hua Hin night market was close to my hotel, decided to eat there. I ordered fish, an appetizer, a green salad and a beer.

After picking the fish I wanted from the rich variety displayed on ice, I was asked how I wanted it cooked. The fish was exceptionally fresh and tasty. The salad was also excellent. Since the restaurant also features a bar with live music across the road, I was able to enjoy good music during the meal.

Service was outstanding too and the long, black haired waitress named Somo was very attentive; bringing me the foods, condiments, drinks etc. promptly and with a warm smile. Despite the busy atmosphere, her genuine care and attention truly added to my enjoyment of the meal.

Cost was very reasonable and I definitely plan to eat again at Ko Seafood next time I am in the beautiful, royal resort...

Its ok to go and drink, but everything we ate was bad. The scallops didn't open after being bbq and even with an opener we couldn't pry them open - obviously dead and bad. Pineapple in the fried rice tasted like cardboard with no flavor and what appeared to be raisins in the rice. My spaghetti (it was on the menu, don't judge i needed something different - tasted sweet and was a smaller portion than expected. Garlic bread was ok. Beer was cold. Sent the scallops back. Even though staff could see we still didn't open them, 90% of the fried rice was un eaten, spaghetti of small size was half eaten - not a single question about - how was your meal, can we improve, etc? We ate an early dinner, so the staff probably outnumbered the patrons and the food stocks were seriously bountiful. Walking by the previous night during the market, this place had been packed, so I understand why it was so, but we felt really fortunate for so many choices and so much attention from the service staff. Had grilled tiger prawns and grilled lobster and both were excellent and fresh (like, still moving when I picked it out-fresh).
