Firstly. Had an absolutely wonderful stay as a family of 4. Stayed for 7 nights. Place is popular for families. And very popular for Russian families. In general, it was very quiet.
Loved: Close proximity to beach and street/beach market. The night market closes at 10pm. So, no all-night party goers to disturb you.
Property is well kept with lovely garden and 3 pools. Rooms are very spacious and minimalist. A bit dated but always very clean.
Breakfast was included. And I think worth it. With a standard variety of west and east. And plenty to eat. The coffee machine gives extremely weak coffee. But there is also an urn with the stronger stuff. I was told the Russian guests like there coffee very mild. (A story perhaps? I dont know.) Breakfast area is also a bit dated. But lovely open air covered seating area.
In summary, this is not a budget accommodation. Or upmarket. But good value for money. Would recommend for all except maybe singles and young couples wanting something more secluded. For those, the beach bungalows across the road are a...
Read moreDisaster from the time of check-in. Reserved 2 rooms with the same itinerary number and confirmation. Front desk person told me 2 separate reservations were made. Even though I had the confirmation on my phone showing both rooms. One was for my husband and I and the other was for our 13 year old son. The hotel staff person said that the rooms were not together and on separate floors, because of course, there were 2 separate reservations.... I explained that the rooms needed to be close together, so he said he only had 3rd floor rooms left. What an utter disappoint. I reserved and paid for 2 pool view rooms, but received the worst rooms in the hotel facing the street. The toilet in our room had feces in it (really) and my son's room's toilet wouldn't flush properly. And that was only part of the problem. So sad as the location is excellent and the potential is there. But not at the moment. Booked a four night stay and left after the...
Read moreWe spent a month in the hotel on the 3rd floor overlooking the road. The room was pleasant. No wi-fi as such, and after a few weeks the cleaning appeared to go downhill so much so I would clean it myself. The public areas around are filthy a good power clean on them is required. The pool as another guest commented on was also dirty I ended up with a sore throat so stopped using it. The location is good, and the staff on reception even after working incredibly long shifts were always polite and friendly, something I am sure I couldn't do. Overall the hotel requires a deep clean and definitely needs to get a professional pool cleaner in as dirty pool water is not good for anyone. I would stay again if the issues I have raised...
