It is difficult to find reasonable western food and coffee in the area but that doesn't really justify the standard here. Being an outlet for a suppised 5 star hotel you would expect better. The staff barely understand basic English and are rude at times. Latte arrives in typical Thai style layered and half full of foam (see pic). The shop itself is a comfortable space to sit in. I particularly enjoyed sitting watching the adjacent national park check point only charge foreigners entry and wave the fee for Thais all day. Food I ordered a few things generally overpriced and pizzas not so great arriving without extra chilli (until reminded) or cutlery. Staff is the biggest let down. Best bet is to just eat Thai food from one of the places on the beach diwn the road. Cheaper...

Miss the old shop! The new renovation/owners have made this much worse. Coffee is actually better tasting, croissiant probably the same? But much less choice for food. Serving half decent coffee but without brown/palm sugar... serving soda in a paper cup... Chairs are uncomfortable but yes practicle if you are wet and sandy, places feels empty and hollow like a hospital waiting room.

Doubt I will be back, time to...

Discovered this gem while waiting out our 5 days in the sandbox. Figured we'd catch up on emails, so we spent several hours here. The food and coffee are excellent, and the staff is just outstanding. So kind, so welcoming, so accommodating. Be gracious and kind to your Thai hosts, and they will treat you like family. But...like the part of the family you actually miss and wish you could...
