Had 725 room. Asked for a quiet room prior booking, but they didn’t read the message before I arrived (booked directly through their website & thank God I got there late morning, or else I’m not sure), but I did actually got an upgraded & a quiet room none the less. Like many other saids here, there are to cups w/spoons, but no kettle and tea or coffee. And no small towels for hand or face, first time I experincing this at a hotel ever. That’s a no for me (probably try to cut cost, but still, it’s not 200 bath a night). No filling of soap etc. what so ever (again, cutting costs?). Would also like to have a small handsoap at the sink, not just 1 in the shower. Also window was damaged (with heavy rain) and the rain comes in a little, they didn’t know about this, so I told them when I checked-out. Some black molds starts to comes out around glass wall in the shower, they should have this under control, before it spreads. Stayed 3 nights, didn’t change the bed after the first night, and I stayed in the 2nd night and told the stuff to not make the room, so no change of sheets all during the stay. 24 H reception. Definitely prime location. No noice (room at the back, so probably that’s why). Clean and smells nice through out the hotel. No tables w/headlamps, which is inconvenient. The water in the shower is too hot, nothing in between, which they should have a look at, since I’m not the first one experiencing this (read the comments). Nice and cool aircon., but need to clean the filter as it saids on the thermostat (look at the picture attached). If the price is over 2,500 bath a nigh, I’d stay somewhere else, but less than this I think it’s def. worth it. I paid less than 2,000...

Disappointment with the service. I chose your hotel because of its convenient location, but my experience with the staff made me uncomfortable and disrespected.

Check-in (15:00, March 22)

The front desk staff (a man) gave me clear information, which I appreciated, but his tone, body language, and attitude made me feel awkward. When showing me the key card, I misunderstood and tried to take it, but he pulled it back and said, "เดี๋ยวก่อนสิ ยังไม่ได้สแกนเลย มันต้องสแกนเลขห้องก่อนถึงจะขึ้นได้." the way he said it felt rude.

Lobby (16:15, March 22)

When I dropped off my key card, the same staff member was holding the phone showing something to another guest. Instead of acknowledging me politely, he just glanced at me and turned back like I was invisible and told another staff member to assist me

Security Guard (16:20, March 22)

I called a Grab car and tried to inform the security guard. He ignored me completely. After finishing his paperwork, he finally turned to me with an unwelcoming expression and said, "Need to receive the card." I didn’t know the procedure, so I apologized, but his reaction made me feel disrespected.

I understand this is a budget hotel, but that does not excuse poor service. I paid 1,400 THB for my stay—I was not expecting luxury, just basic courtesy and respect.

I also did not know this area is popular for entertainment tourism. As a solo female traveler, I felt that staff judged me unfairly based on appearance.

This experience left me very disappointed. I hope you will address these issues and ensure that all guests are treated with respect in the future. No need to terminate anyone but please...

56 Surawong is quite a choice if you’re looking for a hotel located in the bustling Silom district, the hub for Bangkok tourists. Its prime location offers easy access to a variety of entertainment options, making it a perfect spot for those wanting to experience the vibrant nightlife of the area. The hotel is surrounded by numerous dining options, ensuring you have a wide range of cuisines to choose from during your stay.

The pricing at 56 Surawong is pretty affordable, offering good value for the money. The service is straightforward and efficient, catering to guests who appreciate a no-fuss approach. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant stay. While the room might be a bit small, it is decent enough for a quick trip or a short stay in the city. The room was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to rest after a day of exploring Bangkok.

Overall, 56 Surawong is a great option for travelers looking to stay in the heart of Silom without breaking the bank. The convenient location, coupled with decent rooms and straightforward service, makes it a practical choice for both solo travelers and couples. I just booked the room because there wasn’t any hotels with available rooms around. The room is okay and clean but there was a little bit smell inside the toilet bowl. There is no night lamb in the room which is not okay for a hotel with a well-decorated lobby. The wall design behind the bed is like the school walls in Turkey and also the ground in the shower area is slippery I just fell but thanks to god nothing happened please put something that doesn’t make people fall. Also there is no hair dryer in the room. I don’t know if there is any other room types but it is not related to the pics that they have on the google maps. Hoping that the rooms will improve.

👍The 56 Surawong Hotel is right in front of Patpong Night Market, which makes the location very convenient. It’s just a short walk to Samyan MRT and BTS Sala Daeng stations. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the housekeeping team is always kind and greets you with a smile. However, the reception staff rarely say hello or smile when passing by. 👎The downside is that it can get a bit noisy day and night from the street outside, and the Wi-Fi connection is quite poor and very slow.

In the covid 19 period, if you got 2 vaccines you need a 1-night stay at the hotel. The location is good, but I got the noisy room next to the street, can’t get any sleep. Booked by Agoda it said rt pcr test but didn’t tell me it is separate price from the room the details not clear. I have to paid for the rt pcr test 4000 baht extra. The room is clean. They gave you a precook breakfast by dropping the bag in front of your room. The rt pcr test result come out with in 7 hrs.
