Heads up: Mixed Feelings About a Massage Therapist - Important Note for the Establishment I recently had a really upsetting experience with a massage therapist named Nick. He touched me inappropriately without my agreement, and then asked for a 1000 baht tip. To make things even less pleasant, the massage t-shirt he gave me smelled strongly of body odor and someone's perfume, so I immediately took it off and asked for a clean one.
Despite the good massage, his inappropriate actions and personal questions about my job, age, and private life made me feel really uneasy. Also, even while I was using the restroom after the massage, he stood outside the door and kept asking if I was finished to get the tip, which felt very rushed and uncomfortable. In the end, while I gave him less than the 1000 baht he asked for, I still felt pressured to give him a larger tip than I normally would. Since the person who seemed to be the owner wasn't there when I left, I wanted to share this here as a warning to others and to urge the establishment to take notice. What's concerning is that about four months ago, someone else left a review in Chinese with a picture, describing a similar uncomfortable encounter with someone who looks like Nick. It's worrying that this place seems to still be employing him.
Postscript; I have read your response, but it seems you have completely misunderstood my complaint. I did not make an appointment. My issue concerns extremely inappropriate behavior by a massage therapist at your establishment (who introduced himself as Nick), followed by a demand for a 1,000 baht tip.
Are you suggesting that such conduct and pressuring clients for an unusually high tip is simply a "cultural difference"? That explanation is highly inappropriate and frankly offensive.
Even if, for the sake of argument, the person who served me was not actually named Nick, it does not change the fact that this incident happened at your business. The appropriate first response should have been an apology, not denial.
Regarding your claim that Nick was on vacation in Holland in April: the person who performed the massage clearly identified himself as Nick. I also took the extra step of checking Google Maps, where I found a photo of a massage therapist at your shop who matches both the appearance and a distinctive watch. It is clearly the same person. He also mentioned having studied massage at Wat Pho, and his technique was consistent with that style.
Despite this clear evidence, you insisted that Nick was absent, which makes it seem like your business is trying to avoid responsibility by providing false information. This is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I will not be using your services again. Please remember that actions have...
