Ah, Shenanigans Bangkok for Christmas dinner – what an experience, even if it was the daytime sitting. With Katie, Bisxuit, and me ready for some festive fare, we had high hopes for a jolly good feast.

The table mix-up was a bit of a "grr moment" – we'd booked for five and were offered a four-seater. A bit of a squeeze, and not exactly how one pictures a relaxed Christmas gathering. Still, credit where it's due, the staff eventually sorted it, and we were on our way to turkey town.

Now, the food? Excellent. The turkey was tender, the stuffing was spot-on, and the portions were hearty enough to please even the hungriest elves. Bisxuit, of course, made her rounds like a celebrity, getting a cheeky bite of turkey here and there. She was undeniably the highlight for many diners.

But the atmosphere was where it fell a bit flat. Yes, it was daytime, so perhaps not as cosy or magical as an evening setting. But come on, a bit of “Jingle Bells” or “Fairytale of New York” would’ve done wonders! Instead, it felt like any other day, which was a missed opportunity to amp up the festive spirit.

Final score? Shenanigans Bangkok earns a strong 18/27 pigs in blankets. Food fantastic, staff accommodating, but atmosphere a bit “bah humbug” for Christmas Day.

Well we decided to try those Sunday roast cause we’ve been dying to try the Sunday roast cause we’re craving roast beef dinner with the full Yorkshire pudding , mashed potatos abc of course GRAVY and everything Else that comes along with the roast dinner!

🍽️. We got our roast dinner quite quickly and although it was quite big and very nice but it was cold the whole entire dinner was cold the mashed potatoes were cold the roast beef was cold the gravy was tepid And that was kind of a bit disappointing we didn’t say anything because we were really hungry and I think it would be such a great dinner if it came out nice and steaming hot and fresh!

It felt like the mashed potatoes were sitting around for a while they weren’t fresh but everything else that comes with the roast beef was really good! 😊 I would highly recommend to go here cause I love Irish pubs and shenanigan is a great pub in other aspects! Great for watching a game and having a beer 🍺

I would but make sure that you order it if you like it piping hot like I do!!

Have been here several times over the last few months as it is close to the office. Located in a nice spot if you enjoy people watching. You can choose to sit outside on the patio in front of the entrance or indoors where there is air conditioning. The staff is friendly and most of them are always smiling. The food is ok. Not bad but not fantastic. They do have an amazing assortment ranging from Thai dishes to Irish to Italian to Japanese. They drink selection is very very good. The bar is stocked with just about anything that you can think of. I first went there because I was craving a nice tall Guinness and could not find it anywhere else in Bangkok. They also have Harp if you enjoy a “black and tan”. Only caught a bit of the band one evening. So, I can’t really say if they are good or bad. My comment is that it was their first song and I hope they were able to warm up and improve from there. I’m sure you get my meaning. Overall a relaxed, sports bar where you can grab a few good beers right in the heart of Patpong and not be harassed by the local vendors. I would...
