I found myself short accommodation on this visit to Bangkok. I decided to be adventurous and I struck gold well Heaven. This place is about 14 days in service according to the staff and definitely evident in the quarkey hyper attention. Which i must say I found endearing and pleasant. I know what it is like to start a new adventure and make it seem seamless. In the end the staff of Heaven will reflect and giggle how it went off, but with a smile of success. Success is all I can image for this boutique hotel set in the center of Bangkok Gay Zone just off the BTS curve. Heaven is in a small shopping and business plaza with underground parking, shops, restaurants a bank with 3 ATMs and during the day there is a corner vendor serving ice cold drinks coffee to power juice fresh from the cart. (this will be a totally different story soon). Back to Heaven the boutique hotel , the first floor has delicious steak restaurant serving, bar and their 24 hr reception. The hotel has a full on 8th floor patio lounge bar with a good view of the city pool table bar and chill space. The hotel does have an elevator which I found I needed after my long journey in. Upon leaving the lift, I will share how new the Heaven Boutique Hotel is, the housekeeping cart and yellow liner was still new no scuffs mars or blemishes, fresh off the factory floor. The hall was alive with the sound of the 8th floor night club crowd jamming to the latest with added flavor of laughs joy and fun. I wondered. Enterning my room was a totally different expectation, upon closing the door I quickly noted No Sounds of Joy or Laughter No greates hits. That is awesome the rooms are sound resistant to give a nice slumber. Flip Flops of course not my size but definitely appreciated effort, the appointments include a LED screen, kettle, bottle water, coffee tea service, a chiller and real normal size coffee cups a full 12 oz cup. The onsuite ie WC is large a full 25 % of the space in stone, tile, glass and stainless. Very well done. But where are the towels. In the full size dresser with 2 adult size kimono style robes, plus towels and did I mention wicker sandle which my big feet will only long for in a Asian world. Rest easy my big clumps, I travel with Chanklas. The room has 2 full size beds with designer 800 + thread count sheets and a deep hungry mattress. The room is kept chilled with a quiet individually controlled AC and the Internet works stupendous. All in all I am happy with my crazy dash for a place to stay in Bangkok and will keep Heaven Boutique Hotel on my list of 1 st contacts. To the Heaven Boutique Hotel staff and plaza neighbors, you have a treasure with so much potential, work to improve all your jewels and enjoy...
Read moreThe hotel is in a great location and is not expensive. There are only a handful of hotels in this price range near Silom station, but the quality is really disappointing. First of all, there are no windows in the room, I knew this before booking, there is a "window" in the room that cannot be opened, outside the window is the corridor of the mall(The hotel is in a mall). Tourists can walk around outside the window when the mall is open during the day, think about it, strangers are walking around outside your window when you stay in the room. There is a loudly bar near the room, and it playing music till the early morning. These are nothing because of the the price, the most unacceptable thing is that the decoration materials in the room have a lot of pollutants, like the formaldehyde and TVOC are seriously exceeded. Because the room is newly renovated and there are no windows at all, it is impossible to ventilate, so an excessive amount of bathroom air freshener is placed in the room to cover up the smell of decoration materials, and there is an simple and noisy air purifier (without HEPA filter, I'm not even sure it has a filter inside). My wife and I checked in at 1 am, and we both started to feel dizzy and vomit at 2 am,we rested outside the hotel for about 20 minutes before we stopped vomiting. So I communicated with the hotel staff whether I could check out and refund the room fee, because the booked room is non-refundable, I already knew it, so I communicated with the hotel staff. The attitude of the hotel staff was very good, and they explained to us that because the room was booked from the Ctrip, the refund must be processed through Ctrip. We booked for 3 days, so we have to wait three days before the refund. 3 days later, I applied for a refund through Ctrip, what a infuriating is that the hotel rejected my application. I still don`t understand why the hotel staff agreed to a refund and then refused, which made me very angry, the Ctrip even asked me to provide the name and recording of the staff who promised me a refund. Finally, I claimed 90% of the room fee through the hotel cancellation insurance. I hope Ctrip will pay attention to the hotel environment, the pollution of the room by decoration materials is fatal to pregnant women...
Read morePROS & CONS IN HEAVEN | We'll start with the PROS: They sincerely try here, and they're led by an Owner who can diffuse a concern and will try to earnestly sort the problem. The discount price on Agoda makes great value | Now to the CONS: Loud noise is sure to flood your room 24/7 from people in corridor because THE ROOMS ARE NOT SOUNDPROOF. Paper thin walls, despite the very lovely renovation. In addition, at ALL HOURS of the day and night above my room was the sound of: tap tap tap tap tap - a builder's hammer tapping lightly. Appalling - for which they could not find the source but assured me it was not on their premises. | IF YOU STAY: Rooms ending in 03 on any floor are the nicest BUT there is a lot of artificial light at night that will flood your room, and these rooms are most prone to the street noise of the amazing city, too. That plus the corridor, gah, you certainly won't get premium sleep. Try a room ending in 04 on any floor. Staff moved me to this room, and it was better - darker, quieter. | ALL IN ALL: not the best, not the worst. Try the very cool rooftop. Honourable mention to all Staff and Owner who sincerely try. Thanks for the 500thb voucher to alleviate...
