One of the most pleasant surprises of my trip to Thailand. Ratana Hostel is relaxed and welcoming, the management and staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home - they are very professional and friendly. I was surprised by all the extras they provided, definitely a hostel that sets a higher standard than I am accustomed to. Owner is so rude! I booked another hostel and hated it in person so i saw this one is close and tried to ask about a room. I just got here and don’t have cell service yet. It’s late and I’m alone following lines on a map until i get there and connect to Wi-Fi to get somewhere else. She wouldn’t let me in to even ask about a bed and told me to go away multiple times. I’m upset and desperate to find a place to stay and she won’t even give me the Wi-Fi password so i can find a way somewhere else. I had to wait outside for 10 minutes for someone else to give me the password to get a route to another...

Very clean. Great location, can walk to many interesting sites and is close to a bus stop for traveling further around the city. There’s a spot for free coffee and tea. Definitely great value for money. Numerous cafes and coffee shops in the area. The hostel has its own coffee shop with good Thai tea. It is near famous restaurants such as the Michelin Star restaurant Jae Fai and Thipsamai, which is famous for excellent Pad Thai. You can walk to the Golden Mount very easily from here.
