We had a comfortable and pleasant stay at Priya from 1/10-1/14, 2023. (Double Deluxe room with balcony)

Short review: With modern and antique, good old, traditional vibe, plus kind hosts, fantastic location, good price, Priya was simply perfect. We strongly recommend.

Service 6/5 :D Two hospitable hosts Peng and Jack made us feel at home for 5 days. We felt as if we had been in an exclusive hotel due to 5 star hotel service at Priya. They were readily available, approachable online and offline when we needed something or had any trouble. Excellent communication. So kind and helpful.

Other guests and noise level 4/5 The other guests were civil and pleasant, no freaks and crazy noisy folks seemed to come here, which is so good because staying quiet and serene is very important. The only issue I personally had was the roosters in the morning across the house. But they were quiet at night, so no biggie. Using complimentary earplugs worked OK for me.

Facilities and amenities 5/5 This renovated building is a piece of art: pretty, cute, natural, comfortable to be around. The access card is so convenient. We loved the spiral steps and flora of the hotel. Make sure to go to the top at night and enjoy counting beautiful stars. Bed was super comfortable, sheets were clean and crisp. Shower was perfect. Bathroom was clean, no ants, no roaches. Nice wooden hangers and there were plenty of them. The floor was clean. The attention to detail is amazing. This is pure luxury with reasonable price, which makes Priya a super deal.

Location 4/5 If you like Kaosan and Rambuttri old town vibe, Priya is ideally located, only 15 min walk, which is just perfect because you want to stay away from the music and cannabis when resting. Only downside is if you like new city and shopping at huge malls, it’s kind of far. Most Klook tours (i.e. Ayutthaya) meet at Asok station or Siam paragon, so you have to use bolt or grab. In case you do, (IMPORTANT!) I suggest to take a taxi in front of Dialogue coffee and gallery, which is 2 min walk from Priya. That way, you can easily use grab or bolt. Otherwise, your driver will have a tremendous difficulty finding you or dropping you off, which is frustrating especially when it's hot or you're stuck in a deadly traffic jam.

Breakfast 6/5 ;D Peng was so sensible and kind that she prepared a perfect breakfast for us and I devoured everything with delight. You have to let them know in advance if you want a full breakfast to be ready. She kindly explained everything about the "course" meal and I really appreciated it. If you don't order a full breakfast, you can still enjoy tropical fruits and coffee or tea for free.

I was very indecisive at first to book this place as booking.com info showed no wifi when we booked (in May 2022 for the stay in Nov 2022). Contacted the owner on Facebook Messaging and found out that the wifi would be installed by the time we arrived. It turned out to be one of my best decisions to continue to book and stay at this charming Thai style house though as it is quite a memorable experience. I love the fact that the house was decorated with real and really nice plants and elegant real orchids which were so beautiful. Wooden floor in a room we stayed was nicely done. Basically, I couldn't find any flaws in the design and the choices of decoration. Some of them looked really cute though. 4 stars for location as I think the choices of transportation from this house is quite limited for those who want to use BTS or MRT. I planned to travel by boat from the nearest pier so the location was not much of a trouble for me. A plus side (and quite a surprise for me) is Cafe Velodome where you can rent some really nice bicycles is located just a few minutes walk from the house. I remember the breakfast (chicken rice) was very tasty as well. Oh. And the newly installed wifi was actually very good and the family who own the place was so friendly...
