Ideally located hotel! 😁 A great choice for your stay. We booked to stay in this hotel for a night during our stay in Tunis. The location is fantastic! On a lovely street, around 7 minutes from the Medina and Victory Square and has been well refurbished. Rooms are a good size (we stayed in a triple) with a nice balcony and chairs to enjoy the city life! The beds are a little low with thin mattresses but they're okay for a short stay. Nice to have soap and toiletries and water was a good temperature. The roof garden is a missed opportunity as it's a fantastic space to have - overlooking the city and the mosques both during the day and lit up at night! Staff (the lady on reception especially) speak very good English and it's clean throughout. We'd recommend and happily return!
Things we liked . Automatic blinds so it is quiet and super dark at night. . Location is brilliant! Super close to everything amazing and nice to be on a lively Tunisian street. . Nice to have a little bath in the shower and toiletries. . Roof garden is a brilliant space to have - use it more! . Nicely decorated, well maintained, clean and friendly staff. . Good sized room and nice bedding/decor.
Things we didn't like . Beds are of poor quality. Too low, not good for longer than 1 night and mattress thin. . Lack of breakfast. Albeit only 4DT it's just a coffee, a tea OR a juice and 1 croissant - such a missed opportunity to not serve a proper continental breakfast. . Smoking in ALL communal areas (and all rooms) but a closed off room for non-smokers....wrong way round!! Just send smokers outside - it's hardly far! . TV remote was broken in half and didn't work (there were 2!?) but soon resolved. However, only 1 English channel (24/7 BBC news!) and we had ask for help because the TV...

Read moreOne of the worst hotel experiences in my 30 countries travel so far and I will explain details.||||I reached this hotel on a rainy day in Nov - and I had booked a single room for 2 nights. Upon arrival, the lady sitting at the reception was literally surprised to see me and after some discussion with another guy, informed me that they do not have a single room available for that night. Please note I had confirmed reservation via booking dot com.||||The hotel was not full and any other hotel in this world would have given a double room considering it was there mistake, the lady just told they can not do anything. She told I can go to another hotel ( minutes walking) or decide to choose any other hotel - certainly not the experience you would like to have after an international flight.||||I just wanted to take some rest - so went to the other hotel, though it was same price, hotel looked much more lower quality, somehow I was not too keen to roam further given I was loosing time and it was raining as well.||||I anticipated some foul play while talking to the lady and just out of precaution, decided to update my credit card details in booking dot com so that the money can not be charged by the preauthorized card and to my surprise, next day morning, this hotel actually tried to charge my card via booking dot com citing that I did not come and hence as per the booking rule I have to pay!!!||||Given it was just a 5 minutes walk, I went to this hotel and asked why did they do this. Surprisingly the lady stopped understanding English and told me she can only speak French though on previous day, she was able to understand and speak English without any problem.||||You can decide whether you should call...
