This is a must-visit traditional market (souq) in Tunis that has allies of stores and traditional restaurants/cafes.

The place has several entrances and exits. The place can be quite crowded.

As one walks, there are many old mosques and madrassas (schools) to visit.

If you wish to buy anything, tourists are encouraged to bargain and inquire about the price from several stores.

The old souk of Tunis is where you can find very good products for souvenirs. Make sure not accept the first price they quote. Just walk away and price drops dramatically. The alleyways of the souk are cramped so you will be walking very slowly, especially during the morning time when it is very crowded.
