This guys are scammers by trade! They target the tourist very badly. They were very friendly at first , meanwhile our pastries were old, however we were prepared to pay the bill as it was, however when the bill came , they were charging $130 TND Here is the math We ordered 3 croissants $3.50 each 3 orange juices $5.00 each One slice of chocolate cake $9.00(very dry) 4 pieces of kaak warka (very old) they justified that they are specialty , that's why our bill was $130 TND . Story short , we made the real numbers after figure that this pastries sells by kg. A nice experience!

On our way to the souks we stopped for a bite to eat. I bought a plain sugar pastry to try and it was delicious. The staff were friendly, and we communicated even though there was a language barrier (we are from the UK). The price is modest compared to the UK bakeries.

We loved the bakery so much we came back a second time on our way back, and even bought a small box of mini- bakes to take on the plane back. They have a fridge of drinks which is perfect for being refreshed on a hot day.

They have sweet and savoury options too.

All in all, not exceptional but not...

They should get an award for bad service. I literally just wanted one sweet treat to have with a coffee. Some of the pastries and cakes were sold as one like the croissants or slices of cake. However, the smaller biscuits and other items were sold in bulk. I did not want to waste so I said all I want is one biscuit. I was going to pay them, they would still make money. I just hate wasting. My god, the effort to do this. I was shouted at. The woman was so rude. She eventually agreed. The biscuit was not great in any case. Everything looks like 'pretty plastic' but taste...
