We arrive here because a persone inside the Medina suggest us to eat in this non touristic restaurant. It was a great idea. This is a restaurant where you will find only Tunisians, yes and this is the reason why I love it. Arriving in Tunis, I was surprised not to find any international chain restaurants in the city center. Thus I went to this place even though I am generally a very picky eater (easily upset stomach) and rarely go to local places for that reason. I had the lamb couscous, which tasted great and was incredibly affordable at TND14 or just around 4USD. The portion was so large I could only eat half. The staff was also very helpful explaining the French language menu to me. Randomly walked into this resto looking for dinner and man was it good! Ordered the lamb sauce for 15 dt. It’s kindof like a curry but not very spicy. Ate it with just the baguette that they give you for free. If I would’ve known it was that good, I would’ve ordered a side of couscous or rice with it.
