I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mercure Hotel in Istanbul's Sisli district. This well-located hotel provided a mixed experience that left me with both positive and negative impressions. Allow me to share my thoughts on the highlights and drawbacks of my stay at Mercure Hotel Istanbul. 😊🛏️
🥐 Amazing Turkish Breakfast: One aspect of my stay that truly stood out was the amazing Turkish breakfast offered at the hotel. The spread was extensive, featuring a variety of traditional delights such as freshly baked pastries, flavorful cheeses, olives, and aromatic teas. The selection showcased the rich culinary heritage of Turkey and left me feeling energized and ready to start my day. The hotel's dedication to providing a delightful breakfast experience was truly commendable. 🌄🍳
🛎️ Mixed Room Service: While the overall room service experience was satisfactory, there were a few areas that fell short of expectations. The towel situation was particularly frustrating, as I had to call the front desk every time I needed fresh towels. This inconvenience could have been easily avoided with a more proactive approach from the hotel staff. On the other hand, the general cleanliness and maintenance of the room were up to standard, ensuring a comfortable stay. It's worth mentioning that the hotel's responsiveness to other requests was satisfactory. 🚿📞
📍 Convenient Location: Mercure Hotel Istanbul is ideally situated in the bustling Sisli district, which offers easy access to various attractions, shopping centers, and cultural landmarks. The proximity to public transportation made it convenient to explore the vibrant city of Istanbul. Additionally, the hotel's location in a nice area provided a sense of safety and tranquility. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, the hotel's location is definitely a positive aspect to consider. 🗺️🏢
💲 Pricing and Service Balance: One factor that left me somewhat disappointed was the price in relation to the level of service provided. While the hotel offered a comfortable and pleasant stay, I couldn't help but feel that the overall value for money was not fully justified. Considering the room service inconsistencies and the inconvenience regarding towel replenishment, I expected a higher level of service in proportion to the price paid. It's important for the hotel to strive for a better balance between pricing and service quality to meet guest expectations. 💰🤔
In conclusion, my stay at Mercure Hotel Istanbul in Sisli had its ups and downs. The standout feature was the amazing Turkish breakfast, offering a delightful start to the day. However, the mixed room service experience, particularly the towel situation, and the pricing in relation to service quality were areas that left room for improvement. Nevertheless, the hotel's convenient location in a nice area added to the overall positive aspects of the stay. With a focus on enhancing service consistency and value for money, Mercure Hotel Istanbul can further elevate the guest...
Read moreExperience of a 4-day stay at Mercure Istanbul Bomonti Hotel in the Bomonti neighborhood of Istanbul||Cons:|- Most staff members are not friendly and often do not greet or speak politely.|- The hotel does not provide adequate slippers for multiple days of stay, including suitable slippers for showering and moving around the room.|- There is a lot of noise from the staff in the hallways during the day, which disturbs the guests. They do not make an effort to keep their voices down.|- For someone with a height of 175 cm, the height of the toilet is too high, which is above the standard and can cause discomfort.|- The pool is more for display; during our stay, it was said to be out of order. The person in charge of the pool and massages, a bearded middle-aged man, is very rude and impolite, answering questions in a hostile manner.|- There are many small children among the guests, which can be problematic if you are disturbed by noise, especially during breakfast.|- The rooms have air conditioning but no air purifiers. The air conditioning is outdated and does not shut off automatically. It can get very cold, and there is no remote control; you have to turn it on and off manually from the wall.|- When we first entered the room, there was a strong sewage smell, which was alleviated by opening the windows over time. It seems the sewage system has issues, as it smells after a few hours of non-use, but the smell disappears with use.||Pros:|- The hotel is in a great location, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and anything you might need.|- The hotel is clean, and hygiene is well-maintained throughout the hotel and rooms. Cleaning staff do a great job daily, and the lobby and elevators are clean.|- The rooms are larger than the standard size in other hotels, which is a plus.|- Breakfast is organized, suitable, and clean, and it is served daily.|- The hotel's public relations manager, Ms. Atousa, is a gem. She addresses any issues with a friendly attitude, adding significant value to the hotel.|- The hotel's free Wi-Fi is excellent and has a very good speed.|- The hotel is quiet at night with minimal traffic.|- The hotel's shower system and cleaning supplies are adequate.||Conclusion: I definitely recommend this hotel. My rating is 3 out of 5. I believe the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages, and the cons are solvable. I hope this review helps you in your...

Cons: Most of the staff were not friendly; they rarely greeted us and were generally impolite. The hotel did not provide suitable slippers for showering and walking inside the room, which is a basic amenity. There was a lot of noise from the staff in the hallways during the day, which disrupted the peace and quiet for the guests. At a height of 175 cm, the toilet seat was too high for me, making it uncomfortable and impractical. The pool seemed more for display; it was out of order during our stay. The middle-aged, bearded man in charge of the pool and massage services was very rude and unprofessional, responding aggressively to questions. There were many young children among the guests, making it noisy, especially during breakfast. If you're bothered by children's noise, this hotel may not be suitable. The rooms have air conditioning but no ventilation system. The AC is old, does not turn off automatically, sometimes gets too cold, and can only be turned on or off manually from the wall. Upon entering the room for the first time, there was a strong sewage smell that dissipated after opening the windows. The sewage system seems to have issues, as the smell returns after a few hours of non-use but goes away after using the bathroom.
Pros: The hotel is in an excellent location, with close access to restaurants, shops, and other amenities. The hotel is clean, with good housekeeping throughout the premises. The cleaning staff did a great job every day, and the lobby and elevators were spotless. The rooms are larger than standard hotel rooms, which is a significant advantage. The breakfast is tidy, appropriate, and served daily. Ms. Atousa, the public relations officer, is like a gem in this hotel, always solving any issues with a friendly attitude, which is a great asset for the hotel. The hotel offers free and excellent Wi-Fi with very good speed. The hotel is quiet at night with minimal traffic, ensuring a peaceful sleep. The hotel's bathroom system, including the shower and toiletries, is adequate.
Conclusion: I definitely recommend this hotel. My rating is 3 out of 5. The pros outweigh the cons, and the issues mentioned are fixable. I hope this review helps you in making...
