It was an extremely awful experience in Fide Hotel, Istanbul, Turkey. It was so dirty in a very bad region of the Bayoglu. The staff were so impolite. The rooms are so small that have not standards of a hotel. Fide Hotel is not a hotel, it should called a dirty Guest House. The hotel has a house behind it that mainly Iranian tourists are accommodated in there. Breakfast is served in a small dirty region on the street that is like a shop. Tourists cannot serve their breakfast by themselves and in this situation that Coronavirus is pandemic the glasses were taken to the kitchen and tourists cannot see that their glasses are turned with another one's glasses or not. The hotel had extremely bad smell. The curtains were hanging from wall. We were taken to underground floor that was like a jail. In one day of our residency in there the lights went, and the hotel even had not any replacement for lightening the hotel. The atmosphere was so frightening. The hotel had mice, spiders and insects and extremely bad view. In away that when we came back we had their biting sites on our body. Bathroom was broken and the rooms did not clean by staff. The room had not any table and trash can and closet. It seems that the owner of fide hotel is an Iranian (am not sure about issues, I guess so) but the main staffs were from Isfahan, Iran. For coming back to Iran we should take PCR for corona virus and the person who cam to took the test had not any hygienic standards of taking the test and when we complain about it, he told you are so sensitive "I have finished my gloves, and he introduced himself as a Turkish man, but it was obvious that the guy was from...
Read moreI was there for four night, and it was awful by all means. The photos taken by hotel is totally different, take look at my photos. First of all it doesn’t look like a hotel and i wonder how they get those three stars!! They don’t have even self-service breakfast and they bring you a plate with one egg, a slice of tomato, two or three slice of cucumber and a couple of olives, which I didn’t seen before in any kind of hotels! The most important thing is the Location of hotel which is on local lane of a big boulevard and the sounds of cars are in your room and you wont have peaceful rest in rooms. Curtain are not enough and people in street can look at rooms easily and you don’t have any kind of privacy! Some of rooms don’t have refrigerators and there is no mini bar, bottle of water or any electric kettle in rooms. BED BUG!!! Bed had bed bug and stink me every night! Totally I had an itchy travel thanks to Fide Hotel! staff were not helpful and whenever I asked for something, they easily said the don’t have this service! In general I love Istanbul but I would not recommend this hotel...
Read moreI was met by a guy on the reception - very polite and friendly. He showed me the room - very warm and there was hot water all the time, I was offered to use safe box on the reception if I needed. Location is very close to Istiklal street, metro stations and bus stops. I had known the location so I brought my earplugs and didn’t have problems with the noise from outside. But it is on a boulevard. We need to be fair. I don't complain and I don't give any advice. The hotel and furniture are very old and without renovation is impossible to have high hygiene. Very old key - I remember it form my childhood. There is a safe box in the room that doesn't work. I haven't had poorer breakfast in any hotel ever. If no renovation, hotel need maintenance - things brake sometimes. No sound isolation for inside noise - I was hearing the noise from the lobby and staircase all the time I was in the hotel. Even cheap, it is very far from what tourists expect. Everything else you can see on the pictures to decide if you want to stay in this...
