We travelled to Istanbul for a week at the end of May and had an amazing experience in Opera Bosphorus! The hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. When we arrived we discovered that our room has been upgraded to triple room (booked regular double but asked for twin beds) free of charge. The triple room was very spacious, quiet and peaceful, overlooking the pool. The decor throughout the hotel and rooms is beautiful, with great attention to detail. ||In the room we had free safe, daily complimentary bottle of water, daily room service with excellent cleaning standard, fresh bedding and towels and new pairs of slippers daily! There was also a kettle, mini fridge, tea, coffee, creamer, sugar, but we were most impressed by the little touches such as hotel logo vanity kit with ear buds, shower cap, nail file, cotton pads and even several colour threads and needle. You also get large bottles of hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel which we didn't finish in our week's stay there. Our room was very quiet and peaceful, with comfortable beds. ||Our special thanks go to Yuksel at reception, he was outstanding, professional and friendly, giving us great advice on how to get to places and generally made us feel at home. No request was too much! The hotel manager, bar and restaurant managers and staff were also outstanding, friendly and very helpful! Big thanks to the wonderful Ayten! We are very grateful to every one of you for making us feel so welcome and looked after.||The pool isn't very big but is nice and clean, worth noting it catches the sun for several hours around lunch time and not all day, pool towels are provided. We did not try the spa but it looked lovely.||Finally the hotel restaurant overlooking Bosphorus was wonderful, we loved the view and thought the breakfast was delicious with a varied selection of dishes. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant several times and loved the food, although the prices are quite high but that is reflective of generally high prices in Istanbul, not specifically the hotel restaurant. As we arrived late on our first night, it was a nice surprise to discover that the restaurant serves food 24 hours a day as we were able to order food to our room. On the top floor, there is a rooftop restaurant separate from the hotel which we also enjoyed, the view of Bosphorus there is even better. ||Overall we would highly recommend this hotel, great value, good customer service, beautiful interiors, lovely pool and central location with walking distance to Taxim and metro (tram) stop. We thought the hotel felt more like 5* in many ways, especially attention to detail and the little extras you get. Thank you Opera Bosphorus, can't wait to stay with you again...
Read moreIt's my fav. Hotel so far. I stayed in opera hotel a couple of times and they never disappoint me. Everything is great honestly. Their breakfast is nice a typical turkish breakfast with diff. kind of cheese, cold cuts, olives, vegetables, honey, borek, eggs, fresh fruits, jams and other stuff (don't miss their fresh simit). Their food is always fresh and the service is 👌👌👏
You get to enjoy your breakfast with a bosphorus view which is a plus if your room is a city view. Ahmet & ayten are very professional and nice. Actually the staff is very helpful and welcoming starting from the receptionists to the bellman.
We booked 2 connected rooms (Bed & Breakfast) with full bosphorus view, both of them has a balcony. It might be a bit overpriced compared to the hotels in the area but the view is just wow and you get what you pay for.
And my previous trip, I booked a partial bosphorus view room. Both of them were great.
Everything went smooth starting from the booking (I booked through their WhatsApp no and then they sent me a payment link) to the moment we left the hotel. They took care of everything and all my requests.
Its location is also a plus. It's near Akaretler / Nisantasi /sisli (20-30 mins walking) and also too close to taksim and Istiklal (walking distance). The street is full of nice cozy restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies and atm machines. Its also close to the public transportations. But you need to consider something, it's in a uphill street not a straight one.
Special thanks to opera's guest relation manager Manal🙌she is nice, decent and very helpful. She and the staff make the hotel feels like home.
Thanks Opera hotel team for always making me satisfied....

We stayed 5 nights at Opera Hotel Bosphorus, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The hotel is meticulously clean in every corner, and to our surprise, we were even upgraded to a better room than the one we booked with a Bosphorus view.
A very special thank you goes to Murad at the reception—when we lost some belongings in a taxi, he went above and beyond to help us recover them. His kindness and professionalism really made a difference in our stay.
The breakfast is exceptional—always fresh, beautifully presented, and remarkably unique. It’s the first hotel where I never got bored of breakfast, as every dish has its own distinct taste.
The outdoor pool is a rare gem in Istanbul, clean and relaxing, and the location is perfect—close to everything yet on a calm, quiet street where we never had to worry about noise.
The rooms are spacious, well air-conditioned, and extremely comfortable. The bed felt like home, and waking up to the panoramic Bosphorus view with the sound of birds was like living in a dream. Watching the sunrise and sunset over the water from our room was breathtaking and unforgettable.
This was the 15th hotel I’ve stayed in Istanbul, and without a doubt, it will always be my go-to hotel for future trips.
If I had to mention one small downside, it would be the occasional sewage smell in the lobby and between some rooms—but this seems to be a common issue in many Istanbul hotels and did not affect our overall amazing stay.
In short, Opera Hotel Bosphorus exceeded all expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone...
