İBB Atatürk Kitaplığı — Attraction in Beyoğlu

It's nice that it's open 24 hours and the seats are comfortable enough BUT it needs more space or that similar ones open. When I went there was a 10-person line to get in because it was full and being 100% full inevitably affects the concentration. Also it was really hot inside and not smelling good. It's necessary to give a ID Card to get a numbered card that indicates where you should seat. If it wasn't so crowded and if there were air conditioning it would be way better. All things taken into account it's better to study/work/read at the hotel. Also the wi-fi is only available if you have a turkish number (or can receive sms in Turkey with another one). And the tables by the windows are too low for my legs (and I assume for many others also). If you're a foreigner and you want a spot in this place, don't waste your time. This place is probably only for turkish university students.

Just to get in, you have to pass pseudo security checks and leave them a personal ID (lol). They give you a pass to enter. Then once you're inside, if you find a free spot, you probably can't sit there anyway because is "reserved" to whoever has the number of that seat.

I was there minding my business, and I had to get up and leave just to leave that seat empty. The guy showed me that his pass had a number, the number of that spot. My pass didn't have any reserved number so I had to get out. Quite ridiculous if you ask me, but probably they have a reason to have this system.

One of the best Library in the world, 24 hrs open for study, Abu one can sit and study just submit an ID card at reception entrance. That’s it.. They allowed a desk number, only 300 seats available to use, which are always less, if you want place come as early as possible otherwise you have to wait in the long queue for entrance, once Library is full they wait some one to go exit and issue you the number.. very clean and good environmental stodgy. Study hall is excellent well equipped and Full day time light entrance is amazing.. Only water allowed and no other stuff allowed to take inside... Library is surrounded a beautiful park and situated on the hill so nice view of Sea available.. I have visited many libraries in the world no doubt this one is one...
