We, as a couple, booked a deluxe room. Firstly, the location was excellent as it was within walking distance of the main tourist attractions, making it convenient for exploring the city. The room was beautifully decorated and equipped with all the necessary facilities. However, I must mention that the room size was a bit smaller than expected, which might be a consideration for some travelers with more luggage or a need for extra space. The hotel staff was exceptional, displaying kindness and professionalism throughout our stay. They provided us with various brochures and valuable suggestions to organize our activities, which greatly enhanced our sightseeing experience. The cleaning lady on our floor was particularly friendly, and her warm demeanor made us feel right at home. I must applaud the hotel food manager, Seckin Kaya, who greeted us every morning at the roof-top breakfast with his infectious smile and boundless energy. His enthusiastic presence set a positive tone for the day, and we truly appreciated his efforts to make our mornings vibrant and enjoyable. The only minor drawback we encountered was related to the provision of water in our room. While many 4-star hotels typically include two water bottles, this hotel did not offer it by default. We had to ask for water every time, and it seemed like the staff was not too keen on providing it. Given the hot weather in July in Istanbul, we often felt quite thirsty after returning to our room, and having to request water repeatedly was slightly inconvenient. Despite this small issue, our overall stay at the hotel was pleasant and memorable, largely thanks to the welcoming atmosphere created by the staff and the exceptional service provided by Seckin Kaya. If you're looking for a centrally located hotel with a cozy ambiance and exceptional staff, this could be an excellent choice for your stay...
Read morePros: Good location and access to public transportation, restaurants, shopping, sightseeing. An elderly gentleman at reception is the only staff downstairs who is very kind and welcoming. He also helped us arrange a local taxi to the airport. The breakfast staff Seckin Kaya and Basah we're great along with a young girl and another young man were the best thing in this hotel, checking in with all guests and smiles on their faces each morning. The view from the rooftop restaurant is nice.
Cons: Needs massive improvement in rooms, cleanliness, noise, room access and wifi connectivity. Got 2 twin beds that were joined together when we booked a double room and we requested to be moved. The new room offered had the same issue albeit was a little bit bigger. Curtains only cover 1/3 of the window and are torn or missing- the window overlooked a grey wall. No telephone to contact reception from this room. No mini bar or fridge in the room. No kettle or tea/coffee in room either! The cotbed we requested was dirty and frayed- we did not use it at all. Carpets are frayed, rooms have a strange smell and bathroom has mould, bedsheets are not replaced regularly and towels are very old and often worn out. Soundproofing is poor. The room key kept getting locked and wouldn't work so we needed the receptionist to sort it out a couple of times during our stay! Not a...
Read moreThe hotel is located in a prime area! Literally a minute walk to the Tram (above-ground trolly), a 5-minute walk to Hagia Sofia, Topkapi and Sultan Ahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque), Grand Bazaar, Misri Bazaar and many more attractions. It's a decent hotel which will grow on you after a while. The rooms were clean, and the staff was beyond friendly. Their breakfast was varied with so many choices that suited different dietary choices. Talib at the front desk was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable, while Aydin was always there to help with whatever is needed. Seckin, the food manager, was very pleasant to speak to as his English was incredible. Beyza, his assistant, a young lady hard at work, always greeted us with a beautiful smile at breakfast. Lastly, Aynur made sure to attend to our rooms and whatever we needed of towels and other toiletries.|The hotel offers airport service, so make sure to request that prior to arriving in the city or before checking out, if you decide to choose their service. The staff made our stay very comfortable and made us feel welcomed. They helped us out so much on our last day as the driver to the airport (another company) was running late. They came out to say their final goodbye before we took off to the airport. I don't see myself going anywhere else next time I...
