Reviewing the food the place is a proper 3*. Not any more points left on my rating scale. 3 is already generous. Let's talk about the place and its reviews later...
The Testi-Kebap was good but didn't reach the height, that was set with the presentation, at all. The salad on the same plate was fresh, but there was no dressing and not even oil and vinegar were served. Accompanied by fries and not really inspired rice. 3* for being OK, nothing surprising, no wow at all.
The bread looked nice but was more than mediocre. The same with the complimentary mese.
Why did i rate 2* when even the service was 4*?
Because of the over-ambitious approach to be high on google-reviews, insta and trip-advisor.
There is no focus on the authencity and - even worse - the food. Everything is a show. A good show. Service super polite. Always (but not missing to present the review QR).
Simply everything is focussed on 'great reviews'.
The chairs are comfy, the table is nice ... but totally exchangeable... This place lacks any heart and passion... sorry to say.
And therefore even the polite service of the staff gets dull once you understood the reason behind every single action .
But thanks to the service and the kitchen. You've done great and all my thoughts are actually meant to the management.
Conclusion: One of those places that use social media at its best to gain attraction. Food unfortunately doesn't keep up with reviews at all. Furniture and decoration are kinda exchangable with any place in the world
I will not come back. But thanks to the...
Read moreA great experience! Wonderful attentive service, comfortable outdoor seating with a roof, and delicious food! Short story long, ater an exhausting first day of our travel and interesting dervishes dance show at the Hodjapasha culture center we were so hungry! My boyfriend quickly found a nearby restaurant with a really good Google rating. I was a bit sceptical at first, walking in with no booking, but after entering a friendly cobblestone street and seeing the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant I relaxed quickly. We were kindly greeted and invited in by Omar (I hope I remember correctly) who attentively took care of us the whole evening. After ordering our drinks (they also server beer, spirits and so on), we got the turkish flatbread, yogurt with herbs, and local spicy sauce as an included appetizer. For the main course we order a steak in mushroom sauce and beyti kebap, a delicious dish with minced meat, wrapped in flatbread and served with vegetables and tomato sauce. After a hearty meal (the portions are generous!) we received turkish tea, and baklava, also included in the service. I was a bit worried that all the freebies will add to the bill (some kind of huge service charge), however the cost of this amazing dinner and experience for two was very reasonable, amounting to about 70 eur with several alcoholic drinks and main dishes for two. Thank you Omar, and the Seher cooks and staff for a great experience, we will gladly...
