Absolutely stunning view whilst having a drink, eating dinner and watching sunset. The staff member that served me was very nice and accommodating. The food was really average, the meat was quite boring, bread was quite stale, potatoes were really plain like I boiled them at home, portion was small and not what was in picture- picture shows 2 rows of lamb but only came out with 1, only 1 dip served which was beautiful but not enough. He was nice enough to switch the red rice to turkish rice for me but unfortunately tried to make me give a good review on the spot before leaving which was quite weird and i also saw the staff member kindly force someone else to write a review too and I could see that they didn't really want to. Maybe that's why there are so many good reviews up here. Before I left I gave them the money and said I'd like my change he passed the money onto another staff member and then I had to ask for my money back otherwise they did not say a word and did not even offer to give my change back, after all the scams we dealt with the same day that really pissed me off and I don't like shifty acts like that so i think a 3 star is way too fair for this joint. But I'm a good person and will give them a pass. Overall beautiful view, really average food and service is ok but for turkish food it was a big let down especially compare to some other food we had in cappadocia. Would I recommend? I'll leave the comment for you to decide but I would only recommend for a drink...
Read moreAbsolutely awful place with junk food. All the positive reviews seem to be fake.
Update: dined there this afternoon - I was the first customer of the day. Ordered lamb skewers which arrived less than 5 minutes later. Way too fast! That means it wasn't cooked from scratch, but reheated from leftovers from previous days. The meat smelled really bad as well, and not your typical old lamb/mutton smell, but like spoiled meat. I was getting worried while eating and left it mostly unfinished. The rest of the meal was largely unsalted and tasteless. There were also two strange boiled potatoes on the side which is weird for a kebab meal. The prices were also sky high compared to regular kebab prices in Istanbul - double/triple of what you can expect to pay normally.
Update 2: had a terrible diarrhea this evening, I'm guessing because of their leftover meat that they served me.
P.S. I'm a real customer with hundreds of reviews, Google can verify that for you. I rated 3 restaurants in the area today. One was given 5 stars, one was given 2 stars, and yours was given 1 star. As proof I'm posting the photo I took there on this rainy day in Istanbul. Paying for fake reviews is illegal. All real reviews of your place give it 1 star from...
Read moreThis restaurant was close to my hotel and had high rated reviews so I decided to try it for dinner. I'm not sure if there are 2 floors for dining but the floor I came on was very intimate- less than 10 tables. By the time I came it was dark and there isn't a great view at night (unless there's a rooftop view that I didn't see) so I'd suggest coming in the daylight. The restaurant was out of what I initially wanted to order so I ended up ordering the roasted fish plate with vegetables. It came out piping hot on an iron plate. I had to let it cool for at least 10 minutes. The server went above and beyond to make sure I had a nice meal and experience. He provided me a separate plate so it could cool off and some rice. The flavor was delicious of the fish and vegetables. It was a little oily but after my 2nd roasted fish plate in Istanbul I think that might be common. This is a great location because it right next to the metro in the sultahanmet neighborhood. The inside is nice and colorful- just small. The server was so nice and treated me to a baklava. I'd recommend based on...
