Worst experience ever
We got the 3h Bosphorus Tour with 1h for shopping in the Asian side, which was advertised as a great option since the stores are much cheaper in the Asian side. 1 - it was requested us to wait in the lobby at 8:30am as the transfer would come between 8:30-9am and they wouldn’t wait for us. Well, they arrived at 9:45am. 2 - breakfast was very poor. No water, coffee or juice is provided. But they sell them if you want to buy of course. Not only that, my husband and I felt sick of our stomach after, and that was the only thing we ate in the morning, since we missed the hotel breakfast waiting for the transfer for 1h15 in the lobby. 3 - arriving at the Asian side and excited to go shopping asap since we had less than 1 hour for it, I couldn’t understand why the tour guide was holding us in a place asking us to wait for everyone and didn’t want to give the directions to the stores. Once we arrived at the first store, a leather store, she finally made another announcement saying that the other stores were down the street. Yeah we waited to hear that, but not before she advertised the leather store that she’d probably get some commissions of top the sales they’d make with us. 4 - walking down the street, for our surprise there was only 3 stores that sell cheap jewelry and accessories. It was frustrating wasting the time and money for that. 5 - we decided to return to the meeting point earlier as there was nothing to do or to buy in there and almost everyone was already there. Many of them, feeling scammed like us. 6 - on the boat in our way back, the tour guide starts approaching senior people or senior couples individually, asking for a good review online, as her boss asked (mentioned by her), and asking their help. Of course, senior foreigners would do it, how could they say no to the lovely approach, way different from the rest of the tour. Some of them, even said they didn’t have internet and she provided wifi so they could write their review. 7 - we landed and had to wait a long time until the drivers figure out who will drive who. Finally having that sorted out, we got in the van, with very very small gaps in between the seats (different van from the one that picked us up) and no AC on. So now, waiting in that hot and tight space for the drivers once again discuss where to go, hotel names and guests. Jezzzz! We asked them to turn the car on so we could have a relief with the AC. They pretty much ignored us, one guy just said wait and they kept the conversation. So disrespectful. 8 - finally the end of that annoying, frustrating and disappointing tour, the driver stops in a random intersection saying our hotel was down the street. So we got off the car. Well, our hotel was two blocks up the hill. Amazing!!!!! Amazing SCAM because that’s how we feel. Scammed after wasting time and money for that. Don’t believe the reviews. Save money, time and energy doing something else other than spending with...

Read moreThis trip was recommended by my hotel for me and my friend to celebrate my birthday. It started out quite nicely with the boat trip and the photographer took some amazing photos, and the guides gave us great info on historic sites.
My issue comes with the fact that even though it's a full day trip, you don't really get enough time to explore much except for the Çamlıca Mosque. Half the time for that site should have been cut as we passed some great places to do some souvenir shopping and some of the other people agreed it would have been best to have more time to explore.
I did mention to the tour guides and they bought me and my friend free ice cream which was very sweet, they definitely were lovely to talk to and could ask questions easily to. However, it would be nice for tourists to get some time to spend their money at these sightseeing spots with more time.
Also the guy who was in charge in getting us back to our hotels as well as the driver drove WAY past it and we had to walk 10 mins back. There wasn't even a point that him and the driver were communicating for 20 mins and stopped making me think there was something wrong with the taxi. That guy needs to do his job a...
