We arrivered a half hour prior to check in time, there was no one at the front desk (which is only a desk with a computer). A guy came half asleep out of a hotel room asking what we want, so we told him we have a reservation and would like to check in, only to be bluntly told check in is at 2. We were fine with waiting, however there is NO SECURED LUGGAGE STORAGE, you have to leave your luggage ungarded in the lobby which only has 2 couches and is litterally next to the entrance door. We ended up being checked in at 2 and our room key wasnt working, went back and the guy seemed to be irritated and instead of giving a new room key he took the stack of keys went to scan them in front of the door he came out of and the first one thaf worked, gave to us. The rooms are extremely small and a lot of damage. There is no phone in the room to call the reception and the mini bar is empty and disgusting. The walls have pieces broken. When we adressed all of our issues the next morning to the same guy that checked us in, did not even hesitate to tell us to go somewhere else in a rude way. When we requested to speak to a manager he claims to be the manager. I told him that i would like a refund but was told no because you booked nonrefundable. FYI if he was the manager he could have arranged this if he wanted to (i know becaue i work in a hotel ). We said we wanted to have a solution to the issues in the room and he said he could give us another room. And our roomkey wasnt working again so we needed a new one, again. NOW HERE IS SOMETHING CONCERNING| WE RECEIVED A MASTER KEY. WHICH MEANS WE COULD ENTER ANY ROOM WE WANTED, OCCUPIED OR NOT, DOES THAT SOUND SAVE TO YOU?. We checked the other rooms and they all had issues so we decided to stay in the room we had and to just "sit it out". A couple evenings when we came back , I noticed the guy drinking from a Jack Daniels bottle, never heard or seen a "manager" drinking on shift. Oh and breakfast is not server as shown as a buffet, you just get a plate with sometimes very noticeable old things on it. Don't believen me? The pictures will...
Read moreBefore I start, I'd like to say that there are some good points to this hotel. For example, it is pretty cheap (compared to most), it is well-located (five minutes from Blue Mosque), and the staff are friendly and helpful. But....||||As far as the room went, this was probably one of the worst hotels we've stayed in. We were in the dreaded basement room, so there was no window, and the walls were damp and peeling. We had booked twin beds, and we had them, but there was only one double sheet, so we couldn't move the beds apart. There were two single quilts, but only one of them had a cover on it. The bathroom was tiny, and I mean tiny - when you sat on the toilet, your elbow was in the sink. The shower hose bracket was broken (so you had to hold it all the time), the cracked shower head sprayed water in every direction, and the shower door frame was so low I kept banging my head on it (and I'm not that tall). There was no top to the toilet cistern, and no flush handle either, so you had to reach into the cistern and trigger it that way. There was no soap and no toilet paper - we had to go out and buy some. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom, and it should have a 'dead mans switch' that shuts it off when you let go, but worryingly, it didn't. Not safe for a room that got soaked every time you showered. The bedroom door didn't seem to fit the frame, which itself was not fixed properly to the wall. There was no safe, and no breakfast either.||The area around the hotel is slightly rough, but okay for two blokes. There are some cheap restaurants around, but the streets are steep and busy with traffic. Not recommended for grandma.||But...we were only really there to sleep, and we slept okay, and it gave us loads of laughs. So if you're into cheap and cheerful, you might like this place, but if you like nice hotels,...
Read moreWorse hotel experience of my entire life without exaggerating. Never faced more issues than I did here. (Other places all over the world have the odd 1 or 2 small issues which most of the time get fixed but not here)
I would advise everyone to be careful and never pay upfront..
No breakfast and no details or updates given on booking that its not available due to covid- misleading images
Images of the outside sea view are not the same as the actual sea view. Images are very different to actual hotel.
Shower not working from day 1 and asked over 10 times and they only just fixed it few hours before I'm about to check out and when its not needed. All the inconvenience caused already and no shower sheild.
Fan in toilet doesn't work either.
No kettle available anywhere in the property neither would they lend me one. Very inconvenient and very upsetting.
The electric socket was damaged and my electric plug would not fit in and keep falling out. I had to resort by using one other side of the room
There wasn't proper duvet covers. It was a tiny thin sheet. Not something I was able to sleep well in and was struggling
No shower gel or handwash in the toilet even though dispensers are there and installed.
The receptionist is very rude to whenever I request anything kindly. And always speaks in a grumpy manner
No wardrobe or closet even though mentioned. Same with no slippers.
Mentions for food and drink there is bottle of water/chocolate cookies/fruit but again that's no where to be seen.
Please be careful not to destroy your holiday by...
