Marmara Place Hotel — Hotel in Fatih

We have stayed in triple room for 3 nights. Overall impression wasn't too bad. They have offered free sauna, turkish sauna, pool and hammam. But condition of these facilities were average or below average - pool was very small, it's dimensions 2x2 meters, no more - there is nothing to do in so small place. Turkish sauna was too cold for us. And hammam was looking like after just finished repair works - we had just looked at it and closed the door, because nobody wanted to enter. ||Many people were saying, that breakfast was extremely good. We were 3 people and none of us liked it. In our opinion breakfast was terrible! I can't understand, why other people liked it! Okay, if you like cold food and cold vegetables - it's okay, but if you want to eat something hot - there were only two (sometimes only one) options - eggs and strange pancakes or cut sausages in small pieces. That's all. All other food were cold vegetables, some turkish porridges (which were cold as well), various cakes and so on. As we were eating this breakfast 3 morning in a row, the third morning we started to hate this food (every morning almost everything were the same). ||Room facilities were nice. Bed was comfortable, wi-fi was working fine. But it was VERY cold in the bathroom (we have stayed in January), because there were no heating in it at all. We were robbed in this hotel !!!!! I bought a ring for my wife from Istanbul, placed it in its box inside the large suitcase, and we went out to buy some items near the hotel. We returned to pick up our bags and check out to go back to Lebanon. As soon as we arrived we discovered that the ring and its box were missing. The warranty paper that was inside the box had fallen into the suitcase, that means the thief has opened the box and checked that the ring was inside…

I called the hotel and informed them. I sent them a photo of the ring, the receipt, and the date of purchase. Their response was that the cleaning staff has been working with them for a long time and has never stolen anything before.

I confronted them with the fact that a friend of mine from Bosnia had his bag stolen two days earlier in the same hotel. Their reply was that his bag had been found and returned to him. But when I contacted him, it turned out they were lying…

I asked them to check the surveillance cameras in the corridor since the box was large and could easily be seen on camera — but they didn’t respond.

This was my experience in this terrible hotel… I do not recommend it at...

Everyone from the restaurant staff Older gentlemen that serves me in the morning at breakfast helped me with coffee and lovely female that is there at night time at the restaurant area that gives me cigaret when I needed one Especially Mehmet akuran also umut at the front desk he helped me with a cord converter Becouse I completely forgot Turkey has diffrent plugs then Canada he helped and I will be returning Becouse of these people even on the downstairs the spa are the gentlemen that works there and his 2 female colleagues Everyone that works downstairs is splendid thank you for having me. ( I don’t think I will come back if you change ur staff) and for all the reviews that say it smells like cigarets why would u stay in this hotel If you don’t smoke Becouse if you do smoke. This place is a vibe .
