First of all, I would like to apologise for the delayed review as we visited Istanbul on 5th August 2024. Our stay at Mitra Downtown Hotel turned out to be an absolute blessing, thanks to the incredible hospitality and support we received from the staff, particularly Ahmad and Hakkan.||Our trip to Istanbul didn’t start well as we had a very unpleasant experience with the hotel we initially booked. While sitting at a restaurant next door without a place to stay, Ahmad from Mitra Downtown Hotel came to our rescue. He welcomed us with such warmth and professionalism that we immediately felt at ease.||The hotel itself was reasonably good, considering that our main objective was to explore the beautiful city of Istanbul rather than stay in the hotel all day. All the essential facilities were available, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, for me, the most important factor is always the attitude and behavior of the staff — and in this regard, Mitra Downtown Hotel truly exceeded expectations.||Ahmad went out of his way to help us organise visits to major attractions, including a day trip to Bursa. Although I paid extra for the trip (I would recommend booking via Booking.com for better rates), it was still worth every penny — we had an amazing experience in Bursa!||A big thank you to Hakkan as well, who assisted me with a refund request for the previous hotel booking. Since Booking.com initially connected us with Turkish-speaking staff, Hakkan helped us navigate the process and directed us to an English-speaking representative — saving us a lot of stress and confusion.||Ahmad and Hakkan work seamlessly as a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to customer service. They treated us with such kindness and care that we genuinely felt like we were at home.||The hotel's location is also a major highlight — it’s situated in an excellent spot that made exploring Istanbul easy and convenient. For our first ever visit to Istanbul, we couldn’t have asked for a better base.||Ahmad and Hakkan — you both made our trip truly special. God bless you!||I highly recommend Mitra Downtown Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. The warmth, professionalism, and genuine care shown by the staff make it more than just a hotel — it’s a home...

This hotel is an absolute gem in the heart of Istanbul. The location is perfect — close to major landmarks yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet after a long day of exploring. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated with that unique Turkish charm. Breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, served with care and a smile.
But what truly sets Hotel Mitra apart is the outstanding hospitality, and that is where Ahmad shines brighter than anyone. He goes above and beyond for every guest — whether it’s helping with directions, recommending local spots you won’t find in guidebooks, or simply making you laugh with his warmth and positivity. You can tell he genuinely cares. He doesn’t just do his job — he creates unforgettable experiences.
Ahmad, you made our trip to Istanbul unforgettable. Hotel Mitra is lucky to have you, and so were we. If you’re visiting Istanbul, do yourself a favor: stay at Hotel Mitra and let Ahmad take care of the rest. You’ll leave with amazing memories, a full heart, and a new friend.
Thank you, Ahmad. You deserve all the...

The hotel is located in a very small and narrow street and the room with sea view is located on the 5th floor with no elevator. the stairs are too thin to even drag your luggage. when you reach the room there is no even water provided. the curtains and bed sheets are not clean and room size is very very small. there is no internal heating in the room rather its an invertor which either makes it very hot or very cold and is placed over your head. the sea view from the room is utterly pathetic its not a sea acutally its a dirty street view. the windows are very old and poor quality curtains are placed which do not properly cover the windors. the bed and comforter is very small its not for couple or a 2 person. there is hardly any reception or availability if you need anything. even wahsroom slippers are not there. please dont get fooled in to this trap. the uploaded pics are misleading and price doesnt speak for the pathetic rooms and...
